I don't usually take the time to write reviews but we were so impressed and happy with this B&B that I had to write this review. We spent 5 nights there. Elspeth is a very friendly, caring host. When I told her that my partner doesn't eat pork, she cooked for him salmon, it was no trouble for her. Her... more

We stayed at the Clachan for 2 nights. The owner made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. She was very friendly and also very informative. Our en-suite room was lovely, warm and absolutely spotlessly clean, we even had an electric blanket if we required it. The breakfasts that were served were piping hot and of a high... more

My husband and I have just returned back from a Business trip to Wick. We stayed at The Clachan and we couldnt have made a better choice. The room was immaculate and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was spacious and done to a very high standard. There were fluffy white towels and Taylors of London shower products. The rooms were warm... more

After a warm welcome I was showed to an immaculate and comfortable room. The room was large, beautifully furnished and everything worked. The Clachan is an example of how first class bed and breakfast should be provided. more

One of the best B and Bs we have stayed in. Elsbeth is a very welcoming host, and a mine of information about the local area. Nothing was too much trouble for her and breakfast was delicious. Wick is a good base for exploring Caithness, everything is within easy driving distance and there is so much to see. Highly recommended. more

The Clachan was perfect. Great room with plenty of space to move about in. Nicely furnished. Large plasma screen with Freeview. Lovely bathroom, very tasteful with a good shower and nice toiletries. Elspeth was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was brilliant with plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurt as well as a great fry up. I would recommend the Clachan... more

This bed & breakfast is absolutely excellent. The owner is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are excellent, in fact, they are better than 5* accommodation we have stayed in on Carribean Islands. The breakfast offered a good variety and was exceptional. During our 2000 mile tour from home to John O Groats to Lands End... more
