Pre Christmas dinner from the carvery cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. This is a great venue for meeting up with friends and great food is at the heart of this. Today I had my Christmas dinner just a few days early, and a catch up with a good friend. Nothing better. The menu has traditional British cooking and... More

When I was told we were going to stay in Wick my heart kind of sank. Never been before, but the image from friend's descriptions were bleak. I was therefore very surprised when I visited the area and stayed at the Norseman. Very clean, the staff and management very kind and helpful, the place with some years on its shoulders... More

One has to understand that Wick is a fairly small town, and it is almost at the tip of Scotland. Bearing that in mind, then this hotel does its very very best - against difficult & trying an economic background! That's why I rate them 'excellent', for what they do. The food is first rate, having dined here now on... More

My wife and I and a few friends visited this hotel for the weekend, the breakfast service was a disaster, you could help yourself to a hot breakfast only if they had food out to choose. Several items were absent and they were not fast at replenishing the items required. My wife and two of her friends waited 20 minutes... More

I was working in Wick and had the Sunday carvery recommend. The tomato soup tasted as if it was homemade followed by a huge selection of fantastic meats and vast selection of different veg and potatoes. The deserts again were of high quality, especially the cheesecakes. Worth every penny.

I stayed here after having a flight cancelled from Wick. The check in staff were very helpful and accommodating. My room was a good size and the bed was huge. The food here really was excellent...and it had home cut chips!!! I ordered the chicken fillets, they had been battered in house and were fresh. The chips were some of... More

This is a hotel which is A typical if lack of investment in the asset. Probably because margins are very thin and you can't thicken them without investment ... and so the vicious circle. Now if you look beyond the superficial you have a clean and satisfactory nights accommodation. Yes the rooms need investment in new decor but everything works.... More

Hotel is located centrally in town and is near the river. Plenty of parking space either at the hotel or just over the road in the free public car park. Good access for wheelchairs and less able patrons. The Sunday carvery has a good reputation in the area and this is well deserved. 3 courses and as much food as... More

Our room was outdated and shabby. The mattress was lumpy and uneven. The shower had mold in it. The walls were so thin that I could literally hear the person in the next room snoring. I would have left and booked in another hotel had we not already paid for this room previously. The worst hotel stay of my life!!!!

Have eaten here often, Bar Lunch, Evening Meals and Sunday Carvery and the food has always been good. Service can be a bit slow if you arrive when they are very buzy but it is worth the wait. Prices are good too. Will definately be back
