The rooms were modest, the property hasn't been updated in a while, but it's kept very clean, and the fireplace in the parlor is nice when the usual Scotland weather prevails and one is a bit damp and cold coming inside. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant food was decidedly mediocre, despite having been told it was... More

We went here with another couple, we were greeted by friendly staff who took us to our table, the food was excellent and there was plenty to choose from. The sweets were also excellent and plenty to choose from. The bill was very reasonable and we will definitely be back.

Stayed at the Norseman just last week for 5 days with work. Hotel facilities are basic but the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Food was excellent and plentiful (If you are staying over a weekend go to the carvery on Sundays - its excellent). Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Look out for the curious seagull that likes to watch... More

An amazing array of food which is freshly made to a really high standard. Fantastic! Well worth a visit. Remember and leave room for sweets!!!! Unbelievable. I would also book as it can be really busy. I have never been to a Carvery where there is such an amazing selection of food. From roasts to macaroni cheese!
