Booked a room online and requested a double through the booking.com site. On arrival we were told we were in a twin room but when we mentioned that we had booked a double we got our room changed. The rooms had a communal bathroom, it wasn't an issue but there was no mention of that on booking.com The bathroom could... More

Keiss...is an uninteresting bus stop before the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean begin. A village rejected by Hammer House Of Horror. Accommodation. ..staff pleasant, room smelled, guests looked unhappy, exterior looks derelict, and car park resembles last battle scene in Saving Private Ryan. The village is grey ...Please put out for collection every Wednesday.

Where do I start? I can safely say that out of all my holidays, from Dubai to Florida, my stay in the beautiful village of Keiss out ranks them all. The spirit and beuaty of the village is more powerful. The Swingpark recently won the 'Independent Swingpark of the Year Award' and is fully deserved, words cannot describe the beauty... More

As most of the other reviews have mentioned, this place is okay at best. Nothing very fancy, just basic lodging. My wife had some wonderfully fresh fish for dinner and was very pleased. Bed was alright and it was clean. My biggest concern was not with the quality of the lodging, but it was priced like much better lodging we... More

I stayed here with my husband during a trip around Scotland. I found that I was not happy with the level of service we received during our stay but the room itself was great. As many things happened I will list them in point form, you can make up your own mind if you feel it is acceptable for your... More

Pretty basic hotel, probably no more than a pub with a few rooms. Beds clean and comfy, clean towels, rooms small, tvs work intermittently depending on signal, tea and coffee in room, shared toilet, bath and shower, pretty grotty tiles and rusty bath round plughole, but eventually you got enough hot water for a bath, the shower had no power... we do have rooms that are en-suite for more money of course, and we do have rooms that are not over the bar at the other end of the building and are en-suite , yours was over the the lounge which is predominantly used for eating so should not have been too noisy but we apologise for any noise. Having visited many restaurants in the area. Four of us went for our first Sunday lunch at this Hotel. A good choice of menu, with something to suit us all. Very good value for money, we left very full and very satisfied.

Approaching the dilapidated exterior of the hotel, one is tempted to step on the gas and drive on, but once inside and past the rather odd reception area, the room itself was all we'd have wanted it to be: clean, a good size and well maintained. Not all the rooms are en-suite, so be careful when booking! We stayed for... More

Stayed here overnight on our way to Orkney. Nice friendly staff, spacious room, plenty towels, comfy beds. We had a lovely meal and breakfast. Would have had a great nights sleep too but oh dear they had music (I think that is what it was!!) playing until 2 am in the bar below our room. Why do hotels do this?... More

we are sorry for the noise from the bar, the bar staff are told to make sure that it is not too loud, we are afraid that we could not put you in another room had you asked because the only empty room was in fact booked , but the people had a breakdown and couldn't make it , we... More
