Thought we'd try going to this place for a meal so we showed up at 7.30pm on a Sunday. When we got there the place was completely abandoned except for a family sitting there having a meal; we tried ringing reception but no one came. Finally found someone out back smoking who said the chef wasn't there and didn't tell... More

My husband and I were traveling around the north coast of Scotland and had booked ourselves in for one night at this hotel. On arrival the reception area was quite sad and neglected and the lady who received us was not very warm and welcoming, she looked quite down and unhappy. We were escorted to the first floor and led... More

Hotel a bit dated and tired but rooms clean with tea, coffee and biscuits. 7 choices of cereal for breakfast along with bread, rolls, fruit and various other bits and bobs. Cooked breakfast at £5 extra was worth every penny. Hair dryer was not working but on asking was handed a new one with no hesitation whatsoever. Very friendly and... More

We arrived here after driving for 7 hours, woman on desk seemed vague, couldn't find extra pillows though we found them on top of our wardrobe eventually. The room was ok, basic & a bit tired/mismatched, although it was not expensive. Bathroom was across the corridor, small shower cubicle, clean enough. We went out for a walk down to the... More

Attended various social dinners here since its 'the local' staff are always pleasant. Other pub goers are always happy. Atmosphere is great. Food is adequate, value for money second to none. Service is prompt and casual, perfect for a wee pub! Free wifi is a plus point. See you next week......(probably) :-)

I stayed here whilst on business for a few nights, though originally it was meant to be a week (I cut it short to go elsewhere). Aside from the fact it is a traditional Scottish hotel with a pub below in the quaint village of Keiss, serving standard pub grub – that’s pretty much all the good things I have... More

When we arrived the outside looked much to be desired and wondered what we had let ourselves in for! But never to judge a book by its cover!! The staff were friendly and welcoming, our rooms were lovely and clean... Shared communal bathroom but was lovely decorated and clean & fresh! Tea was lovely, again the service was friendly. Breakfast... More

Booked a room online and requested a double through the booking.com site. On arrival we were told we were in a twin room but when we mentioned that we had booked a double we got our room changed. The rooms had a communal bathroom, it wasn't an issue but there was no mention of that on booking.com The bathroom could... More
