Booked as part of our 14 night Scotland trip. On arriving the location is terrible. The outside is not very welcoming and the entrance was dirty and dusty. I was shown up 4 flights of dirty stairs to a room. It was along way up and difficult for my husband who has a bad ankle. It just seemed grubby and dull... More

This place was ok, it was clean enough and the staff were very friendly. The room and en suite were of a reasonable size but dated and in need of tlc in places. Furthermore, we could not connect to the wifi, the TV wasn't tuned to many channels and the trouser press didn't work. However it was in a lovely... More

Contrary to all the negative reviews here, I had a perfectly pleasant stay at the Harbour House. The owner went out of her way to welcome me and to outline the (rather limited!) eating options available in Wick. She said she'd happily provide cutlery and crockery if I decided to have takeaway. My double room was absolutely fine, the bed... More

This was the second stop on a tour of scotland having left a wonderful B&B in Aberfeldy to see this was a shock. The entrance was shabby the rooms shabby and had a strange smell. We went out for something to eat but on are return on opening the room door the smell was awful.Unable to stay we left! We got... I have never left a bad review before but this place was so different from what is advertised, and it was completely horrible. This place is dirty and badly looked after, and they are charging £70 a night! They even watered down the liquid soap. We were only staying one night, and it was too late to look elsewhere. Couldn't... More

I found the place to be fine. Yes, you have to climb stairs to the rooms and some of the stuff needs up-dating, but the owners are trying hard and were always on site if there were any problems. Breakfast being only available in the room may be a little strange for some people but it suited me.

A really mixed experience here, you get the impression the owners have put a lot of work in to smarten the place up, but are struggling to keep an air of decay at bay. A bit like the atmosphere over the whole of Wick. You walk into the B&B through a dank hallway redolent of a tenement building. Check in... More

Single room was a nice size but the bathroom was across the hall, which was awkward. All other rooms are ensuite. That would have been fine, if it hadn't looked like it needed a good clean, which disappointed and disgusted me. I've stayed in hostels with cleaner bathrooms. As others have mentioned it looked like a not so finished do... More

I stopped here with my husband on the way home from the Orkney Islands for 1 night. It was a last minute booking only the day before, but was accepted with no problems. The parking is on road but seemed readily accessible whilst we were there. There are a lot of steep steps in this b and b, particularly if... More
