My friend and I stayed here during our cycling journey around North East Scotland. Lynne and Alan welcomed us when we arrived and showed us to our rooms. Mine was the one downstairs. The room was comfortable if a little dark due to the décor. It was very clean as was the ensuite. My friend had one of the upstairs... More

We stayed here in June 2014 for two nights. Our room was on the ground floor with a sea view. This was a delightful room, tastefully decorated with lots of extra touches, like bedside shelves, lights, extra sockets to charge up laptops, phones etc, and even a digital clock. The room had a leather two-seater couch and coffee table, where... More

I was travelling with a friend and we were greeted by Lynn on arrival, who showed us to our single rooms. My room was the smallest of the two and it was a bit cramped, however as it was a one night stay that wasn't an issue. My friends room was larger. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and there was... Spent one night here in late May. Our ground floor room was not overly large but there was room for both suitcases to be open and on the floor. Because there was a 2-seater couch next to the bed, there was no bedside table on that side (ie couch side). Not really a problem as one could use the arm... More

We stayed at this guest house on our way to John O'Groats and it was such a lovely stay. The owners, Alan and Lynne, were so welcoming to our group and very accommodating. We asked if we could have breakfast at an earlier time so we could set off earlier and this was no problem at all which was brilliant.... More

We started our Charity Run from John O'Groats to Lands End with a stay in the Impala the night prior to setting off. Based only a few miles out of John OGroats, this is a great little find. Very accommodating hosts that even managed to kindly squeeze in an extra member of our party at such short notice with lovely... More

Have just had a fantastic holiday in the far North of Scotland. Stayed at the Impala for 5 nights. Alan and Lynne could not have been more accommodating. The room was kept spotless (by them - not us!) and the breakfasts were fabulous. There is a mine of information in the foyer - and Lynne and Alan were always on... More
