Kitchen was filthy, room was filthy even the dishes were filthy. Beasties on the floor, cracked floor tiles, holes in the doors - the list goes on. Never stayed in a place like it.

Yes it's above a chippy, and yes it's a bit smelly at first but the rooms are clean and value for money. At £16 per night you get what you pay for; a bed, a toilet, shower, sink and even a basic breakfast. If you're on a budget then Sandra's is your best bet. 4/5
I stayed for one night to catch the train to Inverness next morning. It's a hostel opened by a fish&chip restuarant downstairs. Fair facilities but I felt not very clean. Reasonable price with breakfast. So , for me, it's acceptable.
We stay ten days in different hostel in scotland this is the worst
you can smell fish & chips shop or smell of trash bin in the rear.
The rooms are extremely dirty also sheets.
One bed in the rooms was put on the floor, was inclinated and staying on it you can fell iron bars on your back and...

Tiny room, horrible mattresses, questionable linen, thin walls, seedy back staircase. Very poor value. Don't spend your time or money.
I'm not very fussy about hostels (you can read my review about Caledonian Backpackers, Edinburgh), but please: DON'T GO TO THIS HOSTEL. Someone has said that there is a fish & chips near. That's not exactly true: the reception of the hostel is in a fish & chips (hmmmmm, what a 'nice' smell!). The entrance at the rooms is in...

Great location: 5mins walk to train station and 2mins walk to the seashore Nice staff and clean room There is also a free computer in common room providing free internet!
I don't like the fact that the hostel had a time for latest arrival at 10pm but the owner of the hostel was quite nice to us even when we didn't arrived until 11pm. Plus points are the place was really easy to find, free wifi and breakfast was included (self served bread/toast, cereal, porriage, tea and coffee). What let...

OK, I know it is a hostel and not a hotel and you get what you pay for, or at least you should get what you pay for.
This was terrible, I can't find anything good to say except when we 1st walked in room it looked fine bed, separate toilet and shower, wooden floors and looked clean enough. Oh...
