We attended a friends wedding which in all fairness was lovely a truly great day. The 2 young blonde girls that served our table were amazing. Well done girls. But on the other hand there was a waitress who was related to my daughter whom she hadn't seen for years and was trying to say hello, when her superior actually... More

This is almost two completely separate establishments which actually work very well together. Downstairs its a traditional pub complete with well stocked bar (fairly decent Cabernet Sauvignon and not a bad pint), pool tables, Sky Sports TV and eatery and upstairs a very nice series of traditional hotel rooms. The bedroom was one of the largest I have ever stayed... More

Here for a weekend - the staff were great ambassadors for the Hotel and Thurso - we were made to feel very welcome at all times, The hotel isnt old but by the looks of things there is no programme of refurbishment in place and as a result it is shabby and looks uncared for - the hotel was busy... Best bits first, good location just out of town and close to the Scrabster-Orkney car ferry. Good size room, comfortable bed, adequate bathroom, great chef, plenty of parking, pleasant staff, and a lift. Good TV. Splendid views all round. Early checking in time of 2pm was helpful. Good room rate. Great place for a wedding! The Banqueting hall had been... More

We just stopped in for a meal as the place looked good and had reasonable views. The menu was pretty basic but not unusual for pub food. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was reasonable and good value for money. Not the place for anything too special but good for a no-frills meal.

A great hotel. My mum and I had a large external room to stay in. Bit dated with all the wood but comfy beds and had small kitchen area with microwave and fridge with sink area. The bathroom was very modern. The walk to the hotel was a short one but if weather not brilliant then you will get wet... More

All you need for an inexpensive stay in a lovely part of the world. The chalets are basic but fantastic value for money, for which you are better phoning the hotel for best rates, the staff are nice and friendly and make time to talk. The chalets are clean and have oodles of hot water and nice big towels and... More

We stayed at the Weigh Inn for 1 night during a recent driving holiday around Scotland and would most definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. There are 2 types of rooms at the hotel: the cheap rooms are in separate shacks outside the main hotel. We had originally booked one of these rooms but requested a room upgrade upon... More

This hotel is located between Thurso and Scrabster and a 30 minute walk to Scrabster for the ferry to Orkney Islands. The bar is big and good for sports with lots of TV screens. Rooms are big and spacious and clean. Menu was typical Pub Grub type food and very good and breakfasts ample. Would stay here again when visiting... More
