Was so looking forward to this weekend away, what a huge dissapointment, this has to be the worst place to stay in Scotland, we were put in the lodges and my god were we annoyed, i immediately went to reception and asked for a move, unfortunately they had a wedding on and every room was full, never ever book this... more

I returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Weigh Inn yesterday and couldn't have been happier with the service. I had initially booked a superior lodge, but on checking in and viewing the room I knew straight away I couldn't stay in it. Lodge was grim - old, cold and musty. We also had a stag do next door that made a LOT of noise. However the hotel staff were quite helpful, even at 3am, and eventually put us into another (equally grim unfortunately) lodge room at 4am. We stayed at the weigh Inn with our daughter, French son-in-law and two grandchildren. When I phoned to book I mentioned that there were some awful reviews on Trip Advisor and was told that the lodges were more suited to workmen. I had to laugh as we rocked up to what locked like dog kennels split into 4! Got the key for room 1 (described as a superior room) - its the end shack in a line of 4. I have to say its not as bad inside as outside. At least they were clean. However the wall between the rooms... more
