Ten of us from the Beechwood Sea Angling Club in Glasgow stayed three nights here. We had booked the lodges because they were REALLY cheap. We were expecting Air Raid Shelters to be honest, but were absolutely gobsmacked and DELIGHTED with what we got. The rooms all had en-suite (with plenty of good quality clean towels) TV with Freeview and... more

The main hotel is lovely, all the staff were friendly and helpful We stayed in one of the "Superior Lodges", it did look a lot nicer than the smaller ones! Our room was very clean, the shower was good with plenty of hot water, the kitchen area was small but clean and everything worked fine. The room could do with... more

Was so looking forward to this weekend away, what a huge dissapointment, this has to be the worst place to stay in Scotland, we were put in the lodges and my god were we annoyed, i immediately went to reception and asked for a move, unfortunately they had a wedding on and every room was full, never ever book this... more

OK this was a cheap hotel, and thank goodness we didn't stay in a lodge, but I was very disappointed with the stay. The hotel was at best grubby and somewhat stale. We set out to eat elsewhere but Thurso didn't seem to offer much of an alternative so we ended up back at the Hotel The food was tired... more

I returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Weigh Inn yesterday and couldn't have been happier with the service. I had initially booked a superior lodge, but on checking in and viewing the room I knew straight away I couldn't stay in it. The room had a mouldy smell and was reminiscent of the hut from the first series... more

Lodge was grim - old, cold and musty. We also had a stag do next door that made a LOT of noise. However the hotel staff were quite helpful, even at 3am, and eventually put us into another (equally grim unfortunately) lodge room at 4am. Breakfast was very good and the hotel itself looked quite nice, and it's a good... more

We stayed at the weigh Inn with our daughter, French son-in-law and two grandchildren. When I phoned to book I mentioned that there were some awful reviews on Trip Advisor and was told that the lodges were more suited to workmen. We had two large adjoining double rooms with pull out beds for the children. The rooms were lovely--clean and... more

I had to laugh as we rocked up to what locked like dog kennels split into 4! Got the key for room 1 (described as a superior room) - its the end shack in a line of 4. I have to say its not as bad inside as outside. At least they were clean. However the wall between the rooms... more

When we tried to book the hotel, we were told that they only had lodges available which were not graded (given a star rating) but were the same as the hotel rooms - which looked okay on the hotel website. When we arrived we were given the key to lodge 3 - which is basically a portakabin split into 4... more
