We spent 14 days in scotland and the melvich hotel was the worst hotel where we've stayed. We paid far too much for such hotel, the rooms were little, dirt on the ceiling, noises from the neighbours. The breakfast staff was unfriendly and unhelpfull ! I recommend B&B in scotland, they are much better then the hotels for their price. more

I chose this hotel because of its lovely setting and micro brewery. Past reviews mentioned range of real ales. The reality was so different. The description of the hotel on the Internet is splendid. We soon realised that the poor staff were as at sea as the guests.
