We initially booked this B&B because of its close proximity to the ferry we were taking to the Orkneys the next morning. Well, the location is not the only reason to choose this B&B. Andrew was so welcoming and showed us to the living room and kitchen that would be ours to use. We were welcome to use any food... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here after cycling Lands end to John O'Groats. We booked it as it was so close to the ferry for Orkney, where we spent a couple of days for R&R at the end. It was one of the best places we stayed the whole trip, with great rooms, decorated and furnished to a high standard... More

I want to say thank you to Linda and Andrew for just a great stay. Andrew those breakfasts were fantastic and just a happy house to stay in. One could say a 5 star experience but I think Teuchters should have 6 stars as the rooms are better than most hotels.

What a find. In the middle of nowhere but for us handily only 4 miles from our quest to reach JOG on bikes. Andrew and Linda are great hosts and lots of fun. We were made to feel part of the family immediately. The house and rooms are very classy and right up there with the best. We stayed in... More

The nicest B&B we have ever stayed at. Three rooms are available in a purpose built house. Rooms were equivalent of a 5 star hotel room in Edinburgh. Very clean, immaculately presented. Great breakfast options - fruit juices, yoghurts cereals and cooked breakfast. Very convenient for the Orkney ferry which you can see pulling in from the breakfast room. We... More

This is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed at, Andrew and Linda make you feel at home, relaxed and at ease as soon as you walk through the door. A stones throw away from the Gills ferry terminal it was the ideal place to stay when visiting Orkney. Beautiful cooked breakfast with real coffee and options of... More

Newly built bungalow very thoughtfully fitted out for guests and a friendly and welcoming owner.  Very comfortable beds and very quiet. En suite was very smart with great shower. Guests have use of kitchen/lounge with superb views over the Pentand Firth.  It is 3 minutes driving time from the Gills Bay ferry to Orkney and I watched  it coming across... More

We stay here regularly. It is a modern building, purpose built to a very high standard for B&B. Large comfortable room (with bed to match) and an excellent breakfast. At breakfast, the view is stunning and you can watch the ferry approaching to berth in the bay beneath you. Ideally placed overlooking Gill's bay (Pentland Ferry for Orkney). A few... More

We stayed here for one night in May. Teuchters is right on the north coast overlooking Gills Bay Ferry, so we felt the full force of the north wind which came straight from the north the night we stayed. Fortunately, they had provided extra heating which we needed for that night! The house is new, clean, and the breakfast was... More

My son and I were stranded at Gill's Bay for 2 nights waiting for the ferry back to Orkney. Linda and Andrew could not have done more to make us welcome and went above and beyond what you would expect. As a B&B owner myself it was interesting to be on the other side! The house is lovely, the rooms... More
