We had the most dreadful meal here. I ordered veal casarole and was given beef. The staff were very unhelpful and not at all interested in resolving the situation and insisted it was veal. My girlfriend was also disapointed with her tuna which had been cooked to within an inch of it's life due to it not being particularly fresh. more

The Caringorm Hotel in Aviemore is a dream. Right across from the train station, it looks like a miniture castle. We have stayed there many times, both in summer and in winter. The rooms are nice, though a little dated. The staff is competent and professional and always glad to help. AND the food at the resturant cannot be beat.... more

What a wonderful hotel - clean, warm, beautifully laid out, charming staff, delicious food, and not too expensive. Good hotel with a very nice atmosphere. Staff was efficient and very helpful. Rooms had all the basics and a good bed. The restaurant served a Scottish buffet, which may not be the most exciting in the world, but it was actually very good. Also breakfast in the morning was good, and the hot dishes served promptly. more
