Wow ! 2nd visit and it just gets better . From start to finish it was a truly fabulous stay . Every detail has been thought of for the guest . Things that we the guest would not have thought of . See you again in 2 years . You are offering a great product and delivering at every opportunity... More

I booked this B&B for a 2 night stay as a thank you gift to my mum and step dad. Firstly when I booked, the owner stated that she was only supposed to take the deposit out of my account and without express permission from me deducted the whole amount before arrival. Secondly, my parents did not arrive in the... More

This was an outstanding guest house bed and breakfast. The house and Shelagh were so warm and inviting. The interior design of the house was so comfortable and 'modern but traditional Scottish'. The lounge was perfect to relax in and sample the honesty bar. Breakfast was exceptionally good. I loved seeing my first red squirrel and woodpecker from the dining... More

We spent two days (Sun 26th & Mon 27th) at The Old Ministers House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was cold and snowy outside but warm and cosy inside. The lounge room with it's warm fire, comfortable seating, well stocked library and honesty bar was a perfect place to relax at the end of a day's sightseeing. Nice touches... More

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night break for our Anniversary. What a lovely Guest House. Shelagh greeted us warmly, gave us plenty of information about the area. Our room was a delight, plenty of lovely touches, the sherry and cookies, great choice of teas. Flask of coffee to take out each day, toiletries etc. The breakfast was... More

We have just returned from another stay at The Old Minster's House, which was as perfect as when we stayed last year. You get a fabulous breakfast, the rooms are tastefully decorated and are immaculate. Some wonderful touches such as cookies in your room with sherry, and an honesty bar if you wish to have a drink in the lounge.... More

A beautifully kept house in idillic surroundings. The rooms are immaculate, stacked full of lovely touches like candy canes on your pillow, fluffy hot water bottles, shower packs and home baked biscuits to go with an endless supply of hot drinks. The bed was very comfortable. The linen and pillows of high quality with options to change if you were... More

Romantic break with my husband - we have never been so well cared for. Every tiny detail was covered. - we were totally spoiled - thanks Sheila I hope you will be there for many years. Room was perfect, breakfast was the best we have ever had.

This b+b has a five star rating from the STB - because it ticks boxes - comfortable rooms, luxury toiletries, expensive tea bags, complimentary ipad in the lounge for guest use etc.... BUT, the atmosphere created by the owner is uncomfortable and one feels the need to tread so carefully. We would suggest that Naomi (who is the breakfast waitress)... More

Could have been a five star. But unfortunately not. My boyfriend and I went to Aviemore for a wee romantic break, and it was just beautiful. There's no place like it. But to get to the point: The Old Minister's House is in itself, very beautiful and cosy. However there is absolutely no avoiding the horrible rudeness of the woman... More
