We just spent 2 nights in this nice guesthouse. Lovely tartan carpet. Ellen was very nice. Breakfast is great: Just what you need to kick start your day. The family was clean, warm and large enough to accommodate 3 of us easily. It well located, within walking distance from the busy area. Would definitely go there again and would recommend... More

Situated on the main road Vermont was easy to find and there was parking at the back. Ellen greeted us and showed us to our room overlooking the front garden. It was a clean, bright and functional room. While everything is basic the room lacked nothing. Likewise breakfast was a filling meal but everything was basic. While everything is clean... More

This was my first stay at Vermont, but my husband had stayed previously & has subsequently stayed. We found Vermont to be clean and comfortable. The location in Aviemore is good with an easy walk to the local restaurants and pubs. The only thing I would prefer is a choice of breakfast time. However, I appreciate that in a small... More

My partner and i booked here a few months ago, on arrival at the busiest time of the year we were told that we were booked in for sat/sun and not fri/sat and she was full, some one else had booked with the same surname and they gave our room to them so we missed out, she made a deal... More

As you know I did do my best to find you alternative accommodation as you had previously stayed with us before, so didn't want to spoil your weekend as I remembered you were going to the concert from speaking to you the last time you stayed. I was pleased you did find accommodation, such a relief,. If you would care... More

We have stayed here for 10 years & always welcomed from smiling & friendly Ellen & George. Bedroom is clean & fresh. Good Scottish Breakfast as usual. There are off road parking. Only few minutes walk to local amenity. Ideal place to stay overnight if you are travelling up or down on A9. We would not hesitate to book again... More

Vermont is a solid guesthouse but is overpriced. Our twin room was of an adequate size was well appointed in most respects, bed side tables, tea and coffee facilities and two sitting chairs, which was just as well because the guesthouse has no lounge. The beds were OK, but the pillows were very thin. The decor was tired, verging on... More

I really do have to respond to this review, to say I'm amazed by what has been said is an understatement. I totally disagree strongly that the en-suite was not clean as I cleaned it myself. as for the décor in the room it is no way tatty and to use the word threadbare no way reflects any aspect of... A clean spacious and welcoming guesthouse serving good English and Continental breakfasts. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. we enjoyed our stay here so much we extended it by 2 days. An ideal base from which to explore the delights of Speyside and the surrounding area. We would not hesitate to book in here again.

Have stayed at Vermont Guesthouse many times over the last few years and as recent as May this year. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spotless, very comfortable. Enjoyed our breakfast, good choice of cooked or vegetarian option. Lovely dining room with your own table which I prefer, rather than sharing with other guests which you sometimes have to do... More

Have stayed here several times and can say it is a great family run B&B. The rooms are spotless and well equipped. Good Scottish cooked breakfast and also plenty of choice of cereal. A good base for all the activities in the Aviemore area. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend it and stay here again.

Old house, noisy. You hear the neigbours from the other rooms very good. Also the tv. You are waking up around 6 in the morning by noices from of the owners or the gasts who are renting à room for a longer time. It is not ok. The curtens are totaly not dark so you can't sleep before 12.00 am.... More

We do have notices in the rooms asking guests to keep TV's low after 10pm and I'm afraid I have no control over guest rising at an early hour in the morning. disagree with the comment on the décor the room you occupied has only recently been decorated so do not understand this comment at all. we do try our...
