We arrived in the beautiful town of of Aviemore in the early afternoon. After checking the price and availability at several locations in the town it was the friendliness of the bartender at the Mackenzie Inn that helped us decide. Our room was clean and neat. Unfortunately it was over the main street into town, where the semi truck noises... More

We stayed here for three nights. The rooms are definitely in need of a spring clean and maybe a handy man. We were offered clean towels everyday and if we wanted anything. Breakfast was good and we ate in the bar two nights and we could not fault the food one bit and was good value for money. The staff... More

Stayed here for a night away on Saturday 10th January. Pub itself is nice but the rooms are slightly dated and begining to fall apart. Our bedroom door lock was broken and only just locked .. if someone had tried to open the door with a push the lock would have burst completly. I went to open the window to... More

We were in Aviemore for a walking break. This hotel is dated and needs to change their cleaner. The toilet/ bathroom looks as if it hadn't had a good clean in years. The floor and bath had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. We booked a room for 4 adults. We had 2 sets of bump beds with mattresses... More

After having just spent three nights here I feel that the accommodation, hospitality of the Inn and the food are excellent value for money. I had a welcoming , comfortable stay and has good access to shops and would return should I revisit Aviemore Thankyou for a pleasant stay!

Booked 2 rooms for 1 night through laterooms (not impressive with their booking service) as when we arrived only 1 room had been booked. the staff quickly sorted a second room. bedrooms were basic, clean and comfortable with tea/ coffee/ biscuits, etc. breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of choice. was impressed how quite the ground floor bedrooms were especially... Wife and I stayed here two nights at the start of October and were quite impressed for the price. We booked the last available room and from reading the previous reviews it may have been the best of the bunch. Not a big room, but clean, nice decor with tea &coffee making and lovely view of the mountains. Bathroom though,... More

My Wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, 12th - 14th October 2014. The staff were very welcoming and attentive especially as I had a broken back. The twin room was comfortable and warm. Breakfast was plentiful and kept us going all day. The Evening menu was small and varied and all food was of excellent quality and very... More

With a bit of TLC, this could be a really nice hotel. However, it's not. It's very run down and actually pretty overpriced. Our room was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for ages - there was beer bottle top in the very dusty bowl of pot pouri - which, in itself, looked like it had been sitting... More
