A stay at Netthybridge hotel is as previous reviews state, is going back in time a decade or two, but, is that a bad thing? The service is very 'traditional', the food hearty scotts fayre - im a typical bloke and having the option of a steak with my eggs for breakfast is enough for me. Dinner Piping hot broth... more

We have just returned from a 4 day Christmas break and have had a wonderfull stay. After reading the most recent reviews about this hotel, we were a little apprehensive at what we would find, however we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was of a very good standard and the highland banquet was an experience not to be missed.... more

My wife and I booked to stay here in July. Walking into the hotel was like going back 30 years in time. It looks like the last time it was decorated was sometime in the 70s - the carpets were worn and shabby, the paintwork chipped and there was a horrible musty smell in the corridors. The lift is one... more

We stayed here on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis. The evening meal was dreadful - more like school dinners of old; or an up-market hotel meal in the '50s. The price of the meal unless on a package was £21.99. £3 supplement for a starter of smoked salmon, a few capers and one peice of brown bread - quartered... more

I stay in this hotel every year. The 'Tinsel and Turkey' Break is very economical. 1)It is an old Victorian Hotel which still has many of its old features. 2)I love the open fires 3)Some rooms I do not like but I now know which are the better rooms and ask to stay in them 4) The 'Revak Suite' where... more

We stayed here for 4 nights for £145 dbb each. The hotel is beautifully situated, plenty of parking, has its own gardens, putting and bowling green. There is a 4 course evening meal and a hearty breakfast provided. Both excellent. The staff were very attentive and there is lots of good walking in the area as well as easy access... more

Used this hotel for some late spring ski-ing at Aviemore. It was one of those cheap deals with a table d'hote menu but it really was an excellent deal. The service was very good although perhaps a little too quick between courses- I'd barely devoured my spaghetti hoops when dessert appeared. The choice on the menu was excellent and the... more

A very pleasent hotel that still retains features of its late victorian heritage. As a 30 something single traveller looking for a retreat for a few days I found the staff and service welcoming but not overbearing. The room was clean and comfortable and the public areas equally so. Bar menu very good value. All in all a pleasent stay... more

The Nethybridge was the second strathmore hotel we stayed in during our 3 day trip to the highlands. The hotel is very nice and the staff are really friendly...HOWEVER, i probably had a total of 1 hours sleep the entire night what with the creaky bed, creaky floorboards, creaky doors and barking dogs...also the admittedly authentic sash windows didnt close... more

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at Nethybridge. The hotel is very imposing in a wonderful little walking village close to Aviemore and the Cairngorms. Very friendly staff and good food made this a very good value for money break. more
