Tom shared his beautiful home and we had an enjoyable stay. Comfortable rooms and a home-cooked breakfast. We loved the traditional decor combined with modern comfort. We enjoyed the 15 minute walk into town via the parks and cathedral.

We stayed here for one night on a trip to Glasgow to watch the Scotland/England game. We had a ground floor ensuite twin room and it was just like home from home, very clean and very quiet. We were warmly greeted with coffee and mince pies by Tom and his hospitality was great. The breakfast had everything you would have... More

When we booked only 1 double room was available, and Tom told us via email what to expect. The room and bathroom facilities were as he described. Both were spotlessly clean, and the house itself is beautiful. Breakfast was tasty & complete (British/continental) and sitting around a big breakfast table gives you the opportunity to chat with fellow travellers, which... More

Where else? What a pleasure to spend 3 nights in Claremont house. First of all, the location is very good. Quite and close to the city (walking distance), cabs will drive you back for very low price. Second: Tom and his wife are such nice hosts. Tom will do anything to help! Third: the room is nice, very quit, clean... More

Wonderful guesthouse, Incredibly good value. Tom is a lovely guy-so friendly and welcoming, we miss him! Could not have been more helpful,he even went out specially to get some decaffeinated tea within a couple of hours of our arrival. Breakfast is amazing.Help yourself to as much as you want: bacon, scrambled egg, fresh tomato, sausage burgers, toast, cereals yoghourts, muffins and... More

We used Claremont House as both a launch pad and a landing pad for our Scottish adventure. Tom made us more than welcome for each of the two nights we stayed. Our first night was in a double room with shared bath and our second night was in a king room with ensuite. Both were good but I preferred the... More

I'm really not sure how i feel about this place. Not being familiar with Glasgow, we found this to be a bit far from the center of things and we weren't sure about the neighbourhood, which seemed a bit run down. There wasn't a very good sign to indicate we were in the right place and one of the posts... More

Stayed for 1 night with my friend after Tom came to our rescue with room availability over the commonwealth games. Claremont House is home from home. We stayed in the twin room which was spotlessly clean and comfy beds, only worry was the shared bathroom but again the bathroom was spotless and very tidy. Tom made us feel very welcome... More

We had a really lovely relaxing time at Claremont House. From the moment we arrived Tom made us feel so welcome. After our long tiring journey from the south, his warm personality and arrival drink of cool orange juice was just what was required. He was a splendid host throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms... More

This was a very pleasant, homely stay. We were visiting friends in the area who suggested we stay at the Claremont. Would recomend for anyone looking for a home from home. Looking forward to returning in the future.
