Some trepidation about booking this hotel was largely unfounded. Checking in caused some anxiety because my name had been wrongly recorded but once this was sorted out we finally settled in to our room. Because of the initial mix up I think we were given a better room than originally allocated. We had a large room with a generously proportioned... More

Only paid £40 for a room for 1 night so wasn't expecting the ritz or anything. When we arrived the guy on the front desk was very helpful and chatty. Made it to our room easily, had a bit of a funny smell in the room (think the carpets just needed replaced) but everything was clean so no big issue.... More

Cons: I booked a single room and it was in the lower floor (-1), facing the street, with a window that didn't close properly.. so apart from not having a lot of natural light as it was in some ind of pit, at night I would hear everything going on on the street, even with the window "closed". Pros: the... More

Pros: Fantastic location and is a stone throw away from the Main Street and shops. Rooms and bathrooms are good, has everything you need and comfy. WIFI worked perfectly. Got what you paid for. Shortbread on arrival... Cons: Noise!! Our room was located next to reception and was constantly noise coming from people taking, walking in, other TVs and outside.... More

I just had 2 nights at the Newton. The location was perfect for my events. Right off sauchiehall street, lots of bars, clubs and restaurants. The Newton staff were lovely and friendly. It's perfect for just a city b&b hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable with own ensuite with a great power shower. LCD TV and tea/coffee facility. Worth the... More

Great price for the location. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space as there were 3 of us sharing. Great shower in the ensuite though took a while to figure out how it worked-this might of been due to our foggy hangover brains. Breakfast a bit different, turkey bacon was a first! Served quickly and edible though. Good base... More

Just a last minute booking. It was only £40,-, so not too heavy on the wallet. You get breakfast as well, but you get turkey rashers instead of bacon. Its is near Sauchiehall street and near bus stops, wich is very handy.

The staff at reception was unhelpful dealing with a problem they had with the access card. Every time I needed to access my room, I had to wait for the person in reception to come downstairs and open the door for me. The room was smelly, and the bathroom was even worst. The room was also very noisy and dark.... More
