This hotel has a very convenient central location and is just a few minutes walk from Charing Cross Station. It's also got good bus links (including to the airport) and is within reasonable walking distance of all the city centre attractions, shopping areas and the SECC. There is sometimes a small amount of noise from the street outside as a... More

We stayed one night and were pleasently surprised by this wee hotel. It's very quiet and quite homely feeling. We would deffo use again. Bathroom was amazing tiled from top to bottom. Our tv didn't work so it was slightly annoying.

Stayed here before taking a flight to Canada.such a lovely suprise to find an old detached house full of character and beautifully appointed. Our room was on the first floor overlooking a large garden and the old Abby .room a little on the small side but quite adequate and lovely bed linen ,nice modern bathroom with towels and toileteries. I recently stayed here with two friends for two nights, a Friday and Saturday, which was perfect for us because of the central location. On first glance the room was great clean and had everything we needed, we started to notice a horrid smell coming from the bathroom, being room number 1 on the bottom floor they need to look... More

Stayed here for one night after a night at the Kings theatre , it's a stones throw away . On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist . The room we were allocated was right behind reception there are five rooms in the reception area . I was a bit concerned that it would be noisy , but... More

When I initially checked in to the Newton Hotel (and had already paid) I was allocated single room No 2 IN the entrance lobby right next to the main door and just a few feet from Reception. I made it clear to the Asian male receptionist that I did not want that room as I was aware from TripAdvisor (after... More

Do not expect a friendly Scottish welcome at this hotel. The customer service at this hotel was disgraceful and probably the worst I have ever experienced. The receptionist was unfriendly and rude, we were given the smallest room ever even though I booked in Feb 2014 for a special occasion and asked to have a nice room. At breakfast I... More

If you are looking for a basic hotel at a reasonable price then you won't be disappointed. Although the room was small it was comfortable. The shower was powerful but a poor seal on the cabinet meant some water spillage on floor. Buffet breakfast consisted of juices, cereals, yoghurts and some fresh fruit. Self service tea/coffee was good as it... More

After reading some reviews on this hotel I was rather nervous as I had booked this as a treat for my husband as we were going to the Hydro to see still game. As others have stated it is a 3 star rated hotel not luxury. We had room 20 and yes you could hear the beat beat of music to... More

Rooms and facilities are basic and small, but the location was ok. We did suffer from notices from the street and other rooms as the walls seemed to be thin as paper. Anyway the price was low and staff was friendly. A parking slot was a plus! All in all it wasn't luxury but it was a place to rest... More
