The Newton is in a great location in Glasgow City Centre. Fantastically priced (£65 B&B). Our room was fairly large and comfortable. Only nuisance was the room was too hot. Breakfast isn't the best but there are plenty of alternatives locally (wetherspoons / Greggs / Costa etc). I'd stay here again, it's ideal for a one night stay.

The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a downstairs ensuite double. Being downstairs the room was rather dark, but it was clean and tidy. The shower was great. The breakfast, which was included in our rather expensive room rate, was good. Private parking is available at the back of the hotel, but is rather limited. There appeared... More

After realising Sunday train times didn't work for getting us home, we decided to book up here, at only £35 including breakfast, we weren't expecting much. Pleasantly surprised as we walked through reception and were greeted by a friendly man on reception (after reading previous reviews, I'm annoyed what people had to say about this man, he was professional and... Stayed for 4 nights with my parents in one and me in another room. They had to change their room after the first night because it was next to the street which was way too loud at night. Afterwards they moved to another room and it was OK. I should have done the same. My room was next to the... More

My wife and I stayed overnight on a bed and breakfast deal. The room we were allocated was lovely, roomy spotless and with a nice bathroom albeit with a quirky approach i.e. down a flight of stairs from the reception along a passage, through the dining room then up a flight of stairs to our room, but it was worth the... I think this is good value for the price. Great location to eveything you can walk to most places and around the corner from the hop on hop off bus stop. Staff are very helpful especially girl at reception who printed boarding passes for us. Shower is small but has excellent water pressure. We asked for a room away from... More

Unfortunately this hotel was very misleading. The original site pictures show this place as modern, with high spec furniture and at £75 per night I thought I chose well. The hotel is old and tired. It's also very small almost chlostrophobic and looks out onto a resturant car park. we could have gotten much much better for our money. This... More

Thi was my second stay at Newton Hotel. It was £30 for a single ensuite which is very good and included breakfast. I booked through booking.com. . Excellent location.... 10 min walk from Glasgow Queen St Station. Very helpful night porter as checked in close to midnight after travelling. He carried my suitcase to the room. I stayed in room...
