Had to stay in the ivory as could not get anything better as I was late to reach Glasgow.. It was not worth the money I spent.. Did not have a proper reception.. The hotel reception was same as the bar reception.. Not too welcoming staff.. The room I got was in second floor.. Wen I reached front of the... More

We came across this hotel by chance as it does not seem to feature on the main hotel sites. We would normally have stayed in the centre of Glasgow but I suppose with Scotland playing Ireland the rates for the city centre were very high. However from this hotel to the city centre was quite cheap in a taxi. The... More

A few of us started coming here for the Thursday quiz, after the closure of the nearby Boswell. Unfortunately, it turned out to be possibly one of the fastest quizzes we have ever been to! Don't get me wrong, the guy who hosts the quiz is great - but why the rush?! Having bumped into a few of the other... More

We stayed here in April, over from Ireland to visit frieñds, only a short bus/train or taxi journey from city centre. Overlooking Queens Park, and situated in Shawlands (full of nice bars and restaurants). Staff friendly and the room size is fantastic, great value and I would recommend it over city centre hotels... Which were not as pleasant.

With many people gathering in .Glasgow from all over the UK for my eldest son's wedding, this hotel went way out of their way to help ensure everything went smoothly. Good location great food and great service, many thanks to all at the Ivory

During the course of refereeing at a World Billiards tournament in Glasgow, I was accommodated into this hotel for 4 nights by the event organisers. The Ivory is a small to medium sized hotel comprising, I would guess, some 15 to 20 bedrooms (I did not count them!) encompassing 2 floors. I was allocated a single room, which was surprisingly... Good basic hotel. Staff very welcoming. Great breakfast. Children no problem. Good restaurant. Very enjoyable stay. Excellent location for anywhere in Glasgow. Queens Park just across the road. Recommended.
