Maybe it was our own fault, having come from a great B&B in Inverness, but arriving at Willow Hotel was a chock. It was a long uphill climb from the bus station to get there, and once there, we were showed to a room with smashed insects on the wall and no top sheets on the bed, which didn't look... More

Yes, you can walk from the train station - it's all uphill, and bumpy side-walks. You do get to walk past the Art School, so that's cool if you're a MacKintosh fan. We booked ahead and arrived late - what do you know - they had no record of our reservation. We were put into a room that was small,... More

Booking through an agency, my single room B&B cost £31.50, which represents first class value for a hotel literally in the next street to the famous Sauchiehall Street in the city centre; it is a 15 minute walk from Glasgow Central Railway Station. Check-in was efficient, and my room, 25, was spotlessly clean. The room had a double bed and... More

the guest house was cheaper than all the b @ bs we had just stayed at during our weeks holiday in scotland.for a city centre accommodation it was a budget price with no frills. the bed sunk in the middle, the carpet was grotty and the the boy racers on renfrew st blazed away during the night. the breakfast was good... Reading some of the reviews I get the impression some people want four star service for this price. My shower was spotless, my bed was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The only point I would make is try and emphasise somewhere in the advert or on the internet that the climb from the... More

Stayed here based upon a recommendation of a tour book. It was a good choice. The staff was friendly, and the location convenient. On street parking permit was available through the hotel. It's a typical UK hotel, in what is probably converted flats. The room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom clean as well. The breakfast was very good,... More

Good value for a single traveller with £27 for room with a shower and toilet right in the city centre. Hotel was clean enough with the only problem being the stairs in the Hotel and steep climb up from Sauchiehall Street. Very friendly local on at breakfast, so no issues with staff like the other reviewer.

Horrific "hotel". The staff at breakfast were surly and rude. The carpets were maggoty dirty and had several fag burns in them. The duvet cover was not much better. Although the sheets were clean. Its cheap, but you get what you pay for!

We stayed at the Willow hotel for 1 night only. Staff were friendly enough, breakfast was lovely!! The room was ok, clean but nothing special! The room was very cold, we were very cold in bed at nite! They need to put the heating on!!

Hotel was better than I had expected, having read certain reviews after booking.I found no issues regarding cleanliness as one report suggests. I would certainly not recommend the hotel for anyone who is unwilling to access the site via the very steep streets up from Sauchiehall Street and I seemed to be forever climbing steps up to and within the establishment....
