We were greeted well by steve and our twin room was acceptable if not flash. The bathrooms were clean and we were able to come and go with ease. The location was perfect for the University area. The breakfast was excellent as was the service. We were able to leave our bags and then return for a cab to the... More

We're just back from a lovely stay at the Alamo Guest House. The décor is beautiful, especially the room we stayed in, number 3. The owner was very friendly and the breakfasts were yummy! The location is perfect - not too far from a lovely walk around the park, along the river and a 15 minute walk into town. There... More

Too brief a stay - warm and comfortable ambience - I loved the decor. The guesthouse website is very good and accurately represents what you can expect from a stay. Nice to have a choice of DVD's, although I prefer to read and appreciated the bedside lamp which was, unlike the majority of hotel/ B+B bedside lights, adequate to the task.

We had a wonderful 9 day stay. The staff were quite friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold options. Very convenient to University (most important to us) and West End museums and dining. Easy access to City Centre, either a pleasant walk, or public transport. Access to Kelvingrove Park, with all its... More

Most conveniently located in a beautiful park and close to the university. It is a vintage town house with early 20th century glamour in the common areas and postmodern decoration in the suites, not so in common rooms which are quite small. Very nice staff.

My husband and I have just returned from a one night stay at this guesthouse. We were extremely impressed with standard of the accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed it. On arrival we were greeted by Steve the owner who is the most friendly person and made us feel very welcome and almost as if we were being welcomed into his home.... More

A family run Guest house in a perfect location for the Hydro, SECC or just shopping in town. My wife and I had a warm welcome and shown around when we arrived plus a surprise upgrade to a really lovely room with en-suite , I am pretty sure the original room we booked would have been lovely as well, we... I booked this guest house for my grandparents for one nights stay last minute. When we arrived we were greeted by Victoria, a masters student who helped run the house. She was more than welcoming and a real pleasure to chat to over the course of the afternoon/evening, offering cups of tea, booking taxis, recommending places to eat and even... More

We stayed at this lovely Guest House, situated in a quiet street, for two nights, in a most beautiful ensuite room. Within a couple of minutes walk, we were enjoying the buzz of a great city. The world-famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was on our doorstep, other lovely places to visit within walking distance, various bus stops only a... More
