My husband and I have just returned from a one night stay at this guesthouse. We were extremely impressed with standard of the accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed it. On arrival we were greeted by Steve the owner who is the most friendly person and made us feel very welcome and almost as if we were being welcomed into his home.... More

A family run Guest house in a perfect location for the Hydro, SECC or just shopping in town. My wife and I had a warm welcome and shown around when we arrived plus a surprise upgrade to a really lovely room with en-suite , I am pretty sure the original room we booked would have been lovely as well, we... I booked this guest house for my grandparents for one nights stay last minute. When we arrived we were greeted by Victoria, a masters student who helped run the house. She was more than welcoming and a real pleasure to chat to over the course of the afternoon/evening, offering cups of tea, booking taxis, recommending places to eat and even... More

We stayed at this lovely Guest House, situated in a quiet street, for two nights, in a most beautiful ensuite room. Within a couple of minutes walk, we were enjoying the buzz of a great city. The world-famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was on our doorstep, other lovely places to visit within walking distance, various bus stops only a... More

As returning guests, we had another lovely one night stay at the Alamo Guest House. It is perfectly situated. Vouchers can be bought for on street parking. The room was lovely, very comfortable bed and lots of thought has gone into running this Guest House to ensure that guests are made to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Breakfast... More

Arrived at one, earlier than stated, after seeing on the website that they tried to accommodate early check-in. Room was not ready but we were offered drinks and the option of waiting by very friendly young lady - not a problem at all but we decided to go to the Kelvingrove museum just across the park. We left the car... More

I love to return to the Alamo Guest House. It is quiet and cozy and you feel right at home almost immediately. It is close to a park with a walking trail, close to bus and train stations, close to interesting food, and close to galleries and museums. A great stop before and after hiking the West Highland Way and... More

We just spent two nights here in room 12. Our hosts were excellent, providing help when needed and a comfortable and beautiful facility. The location was excellent for touring the city and we received some great advice on where to go and what to see. I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again soon!

We drove up to Glasgow on a Friday night from Bristol, along the way encountering the 50 mile parking lot someone thoughtlessly left on the M6. So we arrived late, tired, grumpy and not particularly easy to be please. But the charm of the Alamo and its hosts quickly changed our mood. We had Room 2 which overlooked the garden... More
