We stayed at Clifton Hotel for two nights and enjoyed the cosy family room and the ideal location for exploring Glasgow. Situated next to the Botanic Gardens, there is also a bus stop for a sightseeing tour. Also, there was parking available behind the hotel. The bathroom was quite narrow, but clean and modern. Breakfast was the only disappointment; the... More

We went to Glasgow for a family wedding. Having never been there before I looked at all the options of places to stay near the reception . I soon started to realize that even Travelodge was very expensive, but to be fair we are not great lovers of that type of accommodation anyway. The Clifton Hotel turned out to be... More

Beautiful 4 poster HUGE bed, very comfortable. Large en-suite corner bath and shower. Television, tea and coffee facilities. Staff extremely friendly, breakfast was included in a very reasonable price, plenty to eat and very tasty. Great location, our room overlooked Great Western Road but we didn't find it noisy. Hotel was very clean and had a lovely old feel to... More

Generally clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The grouting in the bathroom needed a clean and the dirty pull cords needed replacing which let it down slightly. Bed was hard and bony so did not sleep too well . Good breakfast. Excellent location.

I had the pleasure of staying here overnight. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Ideally located just back from Great Western Road and along from Bytes Road. Great bus links to city centre. Would recommend to use again

Well located hotel, clean, nicely furnished rooms and friendly personnel. The problem was poor water pressure in the shower cabin and poor water fall from the basin. Bus stop just at the hotel door, subway 5 minutes walk.

I've stayed at the Clifton a few times now and can't fault it. Staff are always friendly and helpful, happy to give us directions and book taxis. Comfortable rooms and a great breakfast to set you up for the day. Yes it's not a 5 star hotel but for the price you pay it is value for money. So easy... More

Another fantastic stay at the Clifton. It may not be to everyone's taste but the Clifton is homely, clean and comfortable. This was our fourth stay here and I can not fault it. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and they go out of there way to help. The rooms were warm clean and very comfortable, a great night's... More

The service here ruined what is otherwise an ok hotel. It's reasonably clean and well situated but the welcome is far from acceptable. I stay in hotels more than I do at home and have never felt the need to leave a bad review before but Ild just like to save people the same experience. There are a lot of... More
