My room in this period house was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the location was ideal for getting to the university. Free wifi was much appreciated. There are many shops and cafes nearby and there is easy access to city centre. The room was quiet. Breakfast was superb and served in a lovely room on the ground floor. Melissa who... More

Had the miss fortune to stay at this hotel recently and found it to be dirty unsafe and not fit for usage. Firstly the shower had brown mould stains everywhere, the bathroom floor was leaking and dirty, the room had uncovered electric points on the ceiling, and a four gang socket hanging for the kettle .This place should be other... Booked 4 rooms. After a lot of changing and people dropping out, Melissa was amazing always helpful confirming my changes via e mail and checking there were right. Found the hotel just off great western street. A warm welcome in arrival , the rooms are more than adequate, very clean (all 4 rooms). Em suite and toiletries with all .... More

We were arriving after reception was closed (6pm) so key and instructions were left in a safe on the front door and a pin code emailed to me - we had no trouble getting in. The room (1b in the basement) was small and smelt a little damp. According to booking.com, all rooms have power showers and the TripAdvisor page... More

We stayed Sunday to Friday, a cheap b&b that could be lovely with a lot of TLC decoration wise. The staff work hard to keep a clean place to stay and couldn't complain. Our first nights stay I found my mattress uncomfortable so spoke to Mellissa on the Monday morning and it was changed straight away to a very comfy... More

This was a comfortable, clean and friendly budget B&B. The breakfast was lovely and we had a great night's sleep. We booked at short notice and got a decent enough price - in fact the hotel was slightly cheaper when we arrived! There was ample on street parking and Glasgow centre was just a short walk away. Thank you for... More

Check-in after 5pm is by combination 'key safe box' mounted on the outside door. The combination was texted to my phone prior to arrival. Once in inside the property the room was small for a double room (room 3). Immediately it looked 'tired and grimy'. Closer inspection revealed electrical safety concerns (double wall socket hanging out of the wall, TV... More

The room is well-equipped but nothing in there works well. The ironing board is falling apart, the table lamp does not work, we could not receive wifi from our room, the heater in the shower alternates in the extremes and there is no staff in the hotel after the late afternoon to tend to guests. The lady tending the hotel... More

Very impressed with this lovely hotel. I stayed in a single room on the top floor, at the bargain rate of £37 including breakfast. So what might you reasonably expect from a single room in an independent city centre hotel? You'd want it to be clean and comfy of course. Tea/coffee and biscuits would be nice, and a bit of... A very difficult establishment to find and one whose attributes have been gilded. We stayed in a basement room. After the initial shock of the room not really being what we had expected from the website we found the room satisfactory with a decent shower, comfortable bed and quiet for sleeping despite being on one of the main roads of...
