Recently stayed at the Artto Hotel for a business trip. We stayed here as my colleauge previously stayed there a few years before and she was delighted with her stay. Upon arrival the hotel looks great, modern and clean and tidy, we had to wait to check in until the guy at reception finished his personal telephone conversation. The rooms... more

I booked this hotel due to the good price offered for a central location. I read the bad reviews, but figured we wouldn't be in the hotel all day anyway! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was really nice and the bar really cheap! After reading through the reviews again, I think the problem is some people... more

Having read previous reviews, we were a little unsure of what to expect, however we knew someone who had very recently stayed there. The hotel itself is very central, it's situated opposite the train station and only a few minutes walk to the main shopping area. The rooms were small, but adequate and clean for our stay. Although our room... more

Stayed here four years ago, admittedly when it first opened, and it was a great hotel. But, alas, how things have changed. 1. Rude receptionist 2. Dirty carpets in bedroom 3. Dirty bed spread 4. No soap provided in bathroom plus grubby surfaces. 5. After confirmation room had been cleaned presented with a lovely unflushed tiolet upon our arrival into... more

Overpriced, noisy, smelly and unclean to start with. Rude and pushy reception staff, some of whom barely spoke English. The bed, which was meant to be a double, was two single beds crudely joined together. There was subsequently a very hard patch and a dip in the middle! Not a good night's sleep at all! Whilst in the shower, the... more

First room had such loud music coming from the bar downstairs that we requested another room - even though we had to pack everything up again as I was told it would continue until midnight. Got moved to the third floor where the central heating was discovered ('admitted' after an hour) to be broken on the entire floor. With it... more

This is by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in and having grown up in a developing country, this is saying something. The website gives absolutely no indication of how truly awful this hotel is. My room was filthy, the curtains were stained black and the room smelled of curry (there is an Indian restaurant downstairs) and... more
