I picked the Artto Hotel because it was opposite to Central Station and it gave me the easy access I required. The lounge area gave a nice cool environment something I was going to appreciate in the next couple of days with the hot weather in Glasgow. I had an upper floor room but found sleeping difficult over the period... More

I was in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games and the ‘People Make Glasgow’ slogan was posted everywhere. And it is the people who make the Artto. The staff are wonderful, every one of them. I stayed three nights there and found it to be a great little hotel. First impressions were good when I emailed to ask if I could... More

The hotel looks really nice from the outside as is the reception area, that was where it ended. The room I was in was fairly basic and good have done with a fresh lick of paint as there was scuff marks on the walls, lighting in the bathroom was exposed and the bed lamps didn't work. The TV had only... More

We arrived by train and left via the Hope Street entrance to Glasgow's Central Station. The hotel was minutes away so a good central location for shopping, pubs and restaurants. We arrived too early to book into our room, but the friendly hotel staff were happy to look after our bag for us. The room was a bit small but... More

We stayed at Artto for night midweek, we had a twin room with breakfast for £85. The room was fairly basic, but the decor was clean and appeared to be new-ish. On checking in, I felt the reception weren't particularly welcoming. Two staff had me waiting for a few minutes whilst talking amongst themselves without even being acknowledged. Only after... More

Stayed here a few times now and have to say how impressed I am each time. Nothing is too much trouble, great service from all the staff and fantastic coffee in the very welcoming bar. Indian restaurant next door is superb, the buffet style lunch is one the best I have had. Has to the best location for being in... More

We stayed over night at the Artto at the end of June when visiting the Commonwealth games. The accommodation is very basic and small. Don't expect too much. The plus side is it is in the city centre immediately opposite central station and handy for a night out.We payed normal price for our stay and glad we did. The staff... More

Terrible nights stay at the Artto, at check in I was asked if I had stayed before, on reflection probably because they were surprised I was back of so! Booked via last minute, on paper looked okay, on arrival very different! Rooms tiny, no storage, smell throughout hotel, no a/c, tap broke in room, no remote for TV, noisy inside... More

i stayed here for the Commonwealth games . Two nights single they charged me £590 ! without breakfast, which they tried to charge me for again when I had already paid extra. This hotel normally charges in the 60 pound bracket per night nearly a 500% increase .At the Olympics I paid 300 a night for four in two rooms... More

One of the worst Hotel's I have every stayed in. There was a terrible smell throughout the Hotel. The Hotel needed a good scrub from top to bottom. The room I stayed in was in a desperate need of a lick of paint. The carpets were stained and filthy. The noise from the pub nearby was awful. If you could... More
