Stayed here with my partner and mom after an excruciating eight hour flight. Staff was wonderful, and had been able to accommodate my request for an early check in so that my elderly mom could recover from jet lag (though we all benefited from a good nap!). Hotel was super close to lots of good restaurants, shops, train stations, and... More

Previous stays at this hotel were ok, but this was Fawlty Towers come to life, in full-fat farcical detail. We checked in for 2 nights bed & breakfast on the weekend before Christmas (December 14).. or at least we thought we did. When we came down to breakfast the next day, our room was not on the check-off list. We... More

My problem with the Mark's hotel is that I expect something more from a boutique hotel than a tired property in need of a general refresh. The outside appearance leads you to think it was a modern, avant garde and schmick hotel but the rooms let it down and I was left feeling a little disappointed. Let me start by... More

The hotel itself was nice enough and the lobby was small yet stylish, the staff member at reception when we checked in (Darren) was very friendly and helpful. The room was at the back of the hotel but still gave a good view. The room probably was in need of an upgrade although it wasn't too bad, just little things... More

Marks Hotel is in a good central location, it is very clean and I would stay here again. The décor is dated but the hotel is a nice place to stay. The breakfast was cooked to order and set us up for the day.

We were only only staying one night to go Xmas shopping. Thank goodness... Our first room was tiny, dark and the dreadful decor was oppressive for such a small room. It was so claustrophobic we asked for another room. The receptionist kindly changed us to a larger, brighter room at the front of the hotel. As we were on the... More

we booked a triple room but someone else decided to come with us and even though the hotel said they had no problem with changing our booking to two twin rooms, Gala hotels agency refused. It took a snotty email from me to their complaints department to sort things out. When we got to the hotel we were told breakfast... More
