Having read some past reports I was a bit dubious as what to expect. On arrival I was pleasently surprised. Check in was fast. The room was clean and everything worked. The banter in the bar at night was good. The breakfast was only average. The location of the hotel is perfect for the Station (next door) For the price... More

This one was unbelievable! On opening the door the stench of body odour just about toppled us over. On entering, the curtains were filthy, fag burns all over the sheets and bedding! Breakfast? Ugh! Avoid at all costs! 10 days later, still traumatised.

The location is brilliant, and the room was really nice for the price, large and spacious. we only stayed for the one night, but it suited our needs which was a cheap room in the central. I will definitely be staying here again when i visit the city.

I stayed at the Ronnie Mackintosh Hotel one night on my way to Argyll. I chose it for its position and I was pleasantly surprised. My room was on the fourth floor and was facing Union Street, so a bit noisy. Nevertheless my stay was fine and the breakfast was very nice. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I... More

My husband and myself stayed at the rennie mackintosh hotel - central station, Glasgow.... NEVER AGAIN. We realised when we booked it was a budget hotel, but we're not prepared for what met us!!! We paid £59 for an attic room and on entering the room we were looking at a squalid room, there were holes in ceiling above one... More

We booked a budget room & thats exactly what we got. At one point I thought I was in Alison wonderland the floor slopped that much at one of the room I was small but time I got to the other end I was a giant...& it was only 8' long. Bed was very badly stained but did have clean... More

This is a budget hotel but it has all the basic amenities and the breakfast is adequate. The best thing is the helpfulness of the staff. We arrived early from the sleeper train and the lady on reception immediately offered us a breakfast for a reasonable price. If there could be a bit more attention to detail (such as clearing... Good beds, friendly staff, good breakfast. The rooms a little run down and the water pressure very low… The shower was OK though, has its own plumbing! Location very good, "everything" is close. Train, subway, busses, all nearby.

When I booked this room I didn't expect the Ritz but a place I could come in late at night and leave early in the morning. Have a shower, make a brew & watch a little late night TV. Having stayed in a basic room / backpacker place in Sydney Australia I expected a similar experience - plain furnishings and... More
