I trusted my travel companion to book our accommodation. I'm not sure she checked reviews because if she had I doubt we would have stayed here. Our room was spacious, but pillows were some of the thinnest I have ever seen. No flat sheet on the bed: just a doona and fitted sheet. Security very poor. You're allowed to leave... More

As the cheapest hotel I could find in Glasgow, I had pretty low expectations. BUT, the bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was hot and the breakfast edible and generous in quantity. OK the fruit salad was tinned, but this IS Glasgow. Don't expect a swish lobby and staff to fulfil your every whim, and there are a lot... More

I stayed here with business and was very disappointed. The hotel is very dated and tired looking. It is in central location however not the nicest of areas. I felt the bedroom door wasn't very secure and windows weren't the best. The noise from the main road kept me awake all night. My bed actually vibrated when large buses went... More

We booked for the wrong date and asked for it to be changed Hotel refused to our money and will not communicate with us. If this is their customer service way of working relieved we did not have to visit the hotel Based on what I have experienced before even getting to the hotel it must be grim

I stayed here before in 2006, booked it on a business trip to Glasgow 11th-12th September 2014 because I remembered it as being good value. Booked online, discounted price was £49 per night with breakfast. Yes, it overlooks a noisy street and has steep stairs. But the rooms at the back are quiet and the location is very convenient. Smallish... More

Stayed here for one night, girl on reception was lovely and friendly but that's probably the only good bit about this hotel. Room although big was very dated - holes in the wall, windowsills looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. another thing i noticed was the lack of security in this hotel, the main door is always left... Stayed at this hotel for one night staff very friendly and helpful, room was nice and clean beds are so comfy, the only problem was the stairs ,the hotel has no lift so I don't advise it for anyone with walking problems, apart from that it's a wee gem, everything in your room you could need, if you need an iron... Hotel is a 2 min walk from Glasgow Central station so perfectly located for weary travellers. Very handy for a number of restaurants, bars and shops. Basic hotel, but the room was surprisingly nice if on the small side. I was surprised by the quality of toiletries provided. For the price this was a great hotel and the full scottish... More

The Rennie Mackintosh Station Hotel is one of the oldest Victorian buildings in Glasgow and is part of the beautiful Central Station building. As such it is ideally situated in the heart of Glasgow for business or pleasure. What I did not realise when I booked the hotel for a two night stay was that it is far from ideally... More

My sister actually booked this hotel. If I had researched hotels I would not have booked this one. Twin room (335) £54 No lift! (To be fair this was stipulated in the booking print out near the bottom page) room up 3 flights of stairs. Luckily had just back pack as only staying one night. Parking available! Where? No idea....
