I find it hard to know what to believe when I read reviews online. This hotel was no different. There are just as many good reviews as there are bad. Having stayed at the Devoncove for a few nights I think I can only describe it as disappointing. For the money we paid, we cannot really complain too much. The... more

beautiful hotel, very clean, spacious luxury rooms, quite inexpensive, located on a main street with public transportation, very close to University, within walking distance of downtown (10-15 minutes), very friendly staff. I just liked everything about this hotel. more

I can't believe all the poor reviews about this hotel. We had a nice quiet clean room and a very good Scottish breakfast included. Free Internet service with a strong signal right in our room, this place is good value. Nice bar with draft beer and half bottles of decent wine at a good price to drink in the comfortable... more

Myself and my husband picked this hotel as it was the cheapest by far. And the pictures shown made it look very nice. However when you get past reception and up to the rooms, you find somewhere which hasn't had alot of attention to detail or general cleanliness. There was mould in the bathroom, missing sink plugs. Wood round the... more

We couldn't wait to see what the bedroom of our 'boutique hotel' looked like! Infact it looked like the battered and shabby interior of a 1980s room, and with very poorly maintained light fittings and plumbing. We felt gutted, and that we'd been misled by the hotel's description. After travelling around Scotland staying in some lovely establishments, this really was... more

The area of Glasgow isn't good, rubbish in the streets and very noisy. However that's the city for you. If you need to be in that area which we did for one night. I personally think this hotel is a good choice. the room was a good size and clean and the facilities where good. the staff where friendly and... more

I have just come back from a weekend business trip, and have to say I was worried about staying here due to some of the reviews. However what I found was a great hotel, frendly staff and good value for money with a great breakfast!! The room I had was super all you need for a good nights sleep and... more

The receptionist needs to be replaced - period. I told the gorgeous manageress this after a fiasco involving my room being flooded by the room above. Reception were useless. Gorgeous manageress was very helpful once she knew what had happened and had very good customer service skills. This, coupled with the very sweet breakfast staff, made me decide not to... more
