Stayed here over the period we were attending the Games. Close to train and bus routs and within easy reach of the centre. Close to kelvingrove museum and the Glasgow bowls club. Rooms comfortable. Breakfast buffet OK. There is a limited bar menu but no restaurant although there are several around the area. I'd rate it as about 3*

Like other hotels in Glasgow during the Commonwealth Games the prices were increased from about 55 pounds for a double room to 149. Even at 55 pds a night the owner should have more pride in his/her investment. This was one of the dumpiest hotels I've ever stayed in. The condition of the hall carpeting was vile. The walls in... We were staying with a party playing in a bowls international at Kelvingrove. The hotel was convenient both for the venue and Central Glasgow. The Staff were attentive and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean and breakfast facilities were very good. Although the hotel is looking slightly tired it still maintains a level of quality and atmosphere. We found... More

If you want to stay in a hotel, rather than a B&B, a stone's throw from Kelvingrove Park, and want a bargain, this could be your place. Nearby the up and coming Finnieston area with its trendy bars and restaurants beckons. The breakfast is average and a bit greasy, but plentiful. Staff are delightful, especially John, the night porter who... More

Stopped two nights for our daughters graduation. The bathroom door had been damaged and didn't give a good impression, looked like someone had thumped it. The lift was rather elderly and made a clunking sound every time we used it. Our room was adequate, the shower was reasonable though a times the temperature was variable. Breakfast was good, but the... More

Booked here as was going for night out in Glasgow. Car park was full but managed to get parked on street and as weekend was free. Front of hotel and reception was clean bright and welcoming. Got checked in no problem and given room key and told information regarding breakfast times. Room was 17 on the lower ground floor which... More

I stayed here for 1 night with my partner. The hotel itself is about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Glasgow. The area around the hotel is also full of bars and restaurants so a trip into town is not needed! The staff on reception were helpful in giving directions when we go lost and were friendly when... Pass this one by! Keep on walking! Don't let the recently decorated reception area fool you. Filthy with a poor service. I shudder to think that this hotel will be booked by our foreign friends during the Commonwealth Games - what a let down for the city of Glasgow. Unfortunately this booking was made by friends in arranging a get... More

We booked last minute and the fact we could bring our dog along and be so close to kelvin grove park was great extremely handy, and nice to have free parking and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would stay here again
