My husband and I recently relocated from Australia to Glasgow and we needed a long term stay whilst we house hunted. The apartment (Number 2) was on an elevated ground floor with free parking accessed from the laneway behind the block. You come up from the carpark from the basement level to the ground level. There is no elevator. This apartment is a one bedroom with a two-way bathroom, full (but very narrow) kitchen with oven, full size refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster + kettle, plus a combined washer/dryer, and a very large lounge area with a dining area overlooking the private gardens across the street (which you have keyed access to). There is free wifi and the apartments are serviced weekly (cleaned and linen change). The apartments are in a great area for exploring Glasgow, with the large Kelvingrove Park 2 blocks away, the city about a 20 minute walk away and busy Woodland Road with pubs and restaurants a mere 5 min walk. There is also a Sainsbury Local small supermarket with service station a block away. We were met at the apartment by one of the employees and shown around. There are just a phone call or email away if you have any questions, needs or problems, and we found them to be extremely friendly and helpful and prompt in responding to us. Since we were staying for a long time - 4 months in total - we had a few extra requests that were all met in a timely way. The apartment is in a very attractive building that would have once been a private residence. The high detailed ceilings are lovely. The apartment is a little tired in places and could do with a freshen up, but it perfectly suited our needs and we found it comfortable as our temporary home.

We stayed in such a beautiful area beside a little park and within walking distance of all Glasgow highlights. Even though the 4 of us were in the basement rooms they were warm clean, modern and ideal for a 4 night stay. These are modern apartments , not a hotel.Free parking our pre-requisite.

We love Scotland and have always stayed in hotels, I now ask Why. After finding this, our apartment is amazing, I would say home from home, but better free parking ,free wifi .Superbly decorated to a very high standard. Great location. We will never use another hotel, now we have found this little Jem. Really recommend it. We are already planning our next trip.

Impressive building and entrance hall. Number 15 flat 2. The apartment needs refurbished. Scuffed paintwork, marked walls, grim carpet, and cheap furnishings. the Kitchen is a narrow corridor painted dark blue with loose handles and doors that don't close properly. When I moved in the small shower and sink were blocked and wouldn't drain. it was fixed 3 days later but the sink never drained properly for the entire 3 weeks I was there. The dryer on the washing machine was broken and a clothes horse I found was completely wrecked....Not the best experience

We had a 3-bed apartment on top floor of Lynedoch Cr. The location is ideal for West End or City. It is a fair hike up to the top floor but quite pleasant with carpeted floor and oak staircase. Parking is at the rear off an old cobblestone drive. It is convenient but means an extra flight of stais as back door is at a lower level. The welcome was warm and helpful. The aparment itself was spacious - the master bedroom was enormous! - and with all the home comforts and clean throughout. The views were fine with a nice garden in front with rhododendrons in bloom. Very impressed and would definitely stay again.

This was a fabulous apartment, very spacious and very local to the shopping area in Sauchiehall Street, Very close to local takeaways if you do not wish to cook. This was a family get together and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

This review is for 5 Lyndedoch, Apt 6. Summary of the 2 week stay: it is a 2 bedroom unit, fully furnished like a serviced apartment. In fact, this is located in a 3 storey block of apartment, subletted out for holiday stayers. There is no lift, so lifting luggage up 2 storey stairs (after 15 hours flight) is no joke. The apartment is fitted with a dish washer, laundry cum dryer, oven, microwave and the essential kitchen tools. The housekeeping is twice a week, Tues and Fri (during this stay), but the cleaning service is not up to standard. Nothing is replenished during the stay ( toiletries, toilet paper etc). The plus point is that it is within 15 mins walking distance to the Uni, Kelvin Grove Park, SauchieHall Street. A petrol station with Sainsbury store is just across the junction. If you are prepared to walk, a LIDL supermarket is about 15 mins away (off Great Western Road). Many eating joints just around the corner, so one has lots of choices. Come here if you need a base in this are, but be prepared for dodgy housekeeping. Do tell me if you find this review helpful in your travel search.

I booked apt 2, 15 Lynedoch Cres 8-10th November 2014. First impressions all seemed okay, but I was in for the worst 2 nights I ever spent in rented accommodation in Glasgow. Firstly roller blind in bedroom would not stop rolling - I had not control over it, therefore by bedtime it was lying in a heap on the floor and as I was on the ground floor having no blinds, had no privacy and no other option than to sleep in the sitting room. Also I was cooking dinner that evening, I soon discovered that I had a faulty cooker, I put dinner in the oven and then subsequently opened the oven door wide open and it fell off. There was no other facility to continue cooking so held door against cooker to try and finish dinner. Kitchen poorly kitted out for self catering. No dish towels were provided either. And the gas hobs were also faulty or some of them did not work at all. The letter I was given on my arrival had details of how to access the Wi-Fi connections, I was given the wrong information and eventually had blocked access to my computer with this wrong information. I reported all of this immediately and was told someone would come to see me in the morning. Monday the housekeeper arrived and she also told me someone was coming to see me....I am still waiting and nothing was sorted out, repaired or resolved the following day. The housekeeper looked at the oven and she did clean up the filth along the top, sides and bottom rim. She left me dish towels, emptied the bin but no bin liner was left. My second night was the same no blinds in the bedroom and no cooking facilities, so again I had to sleep in the sitting room to get a little privacy. I left early Tuesday glad to be out of there and I emailed the office and of course they 'apologised as this was not their usual standard'. They were going to investigate and get back to me. Finally got another apology - must give them a 4* for that - sorry for my dreadful experience and what should have been done prior to my arrival - should have, could have etc etc!! The apartments you will note are 4* but as was pointed out to me they are self-starred, they certainly do not merit a self-starred 4. Reality is that what was offered and paid for is far from what was offered. If you want to have a relaxing time in Glasgow all these apartments offer is a lot of stress and a waste of money. On the 12th Nov I was told a night's refund had been authorised - 12 days later I am still waiting. Also on the 12th Nov they were going to investigate this fully and again I email them today as obviously this investigation was taking a long long time...!!! In their response today they informed me 'their team have been issued with updated operating procedures to make sure their standards are second to none' - well that is a change from having no standards? They do believe that 4* is an appropriate rating for their properties - I supposed that depends on what you are used to and for me 4* service is way above what they offer here. I have been offered 1 night's refund as a sign of apology for my 'dissatisfaction and inconvenience' - so for my 2nd night of 'dissatisfaction and inconvenience' I had to pay for the privilege it would seem. Sadly this for me is a place never to be visited again and would certainly not recommend to anyone

Blimey - doesn't time fly. For a whole SEVEN MONTHS this was our home (15 Lynedoch Crescent) before we moved to France. We loved it. Leaving, my other half was in tears! The staff are wonderful - they put up with me way beyond the call of duty and the apartments are lovely, well equipped and could easily pass as home. Several long term clients there too when we left who felt the same. And - don't forget free car parking in an area of Glasgow where the parking enforcement is of nightmarish proportions! Now, let's talk about the wonderful Joanne Gilbert and her colleagues - Lisa, Tracey, Galina (the boss) and not forgetting Janet and the housekeeping team - as well as Ian, head of maintenance - they made our long-term stay totally amazing and now we are settled in our wonderful home in the south of France, I hope the team will come visit. And when next in Glasgow - on a shorter stay in the coming weeks - long before the Commonwealth Games nightmare, Dreamhouse Lynedoch for 10 days will be a total pleasure :) Thanks guys!

We spent a 4 days in Glasgow at the end of a packed 3 week family trip. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor of 13 Lynedoch Crescent. The entrance area was very nice, however with no elevator facilities and the parking area at the rear of the apartment meant we had to haul luggage up 4 flights of stairs! Whilst the apartment was spacious it was in need of some serious TLC. Furnishings were worn and in some cases torn with stuffing spilling out. Ceiling lights were not working and the ensuite bathroom door could not be closed because the door handle was lying on the floor! It took 3 days before repairs were effected. The general cleanliness of the apartment was also disappointing and required a number of calls to management to have the apartment serviced. Although everyone we spoke to was very apologetic about the problems we were experiencing, it did not compensate for the inconvenience we were experiencing. Sound proofing between apartments was poor and we were wakened at 2am on 3 mornings from the sound of footsteps in the apartment above. This was at best a 3 star experience at 4-5 star prices. We found the public transport system around Glasgow to be excellent, so for future visits, we would definitely consider an apartment which is a little further from the city centre if the accommodation was superior.
