I stayed here on the first night of my walk along the West Highland Way. Its a nice cosy hotel, the room was very nice, if a bit small and had all the little bits that make you feel the owners care. The food was good and staff friendly. You check-in at the bar and check-out in the Restaurant! You... more

We stayed for a night on our trip along the West Highland Way. Definitely a walker friendly place, with nice, cozy rooms (maybe a bit small) and good breakfast. The restaurant servces great food in the evening. more

We stayed for 1 week at the nearby Waterfront Lodges but we used the pub every night for a drink and on 3 occasions to eat. The food was excellent at around £10 for a main meal and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The Inn is is situated in the very small village of Balmaha and backs onto... more

The "reception" desk was actually the public bar and with it being mid afternoon it was very busy serving bar meals. I think that their customer care skills were disappointing, they appeared to be quite short staffed, the person behind the bar was visibly stressed, she never gave us any indication that she knew we were waiting, despite us looking... more

Stopped over in the bunkhouse with four others doing the West Highland Way. Fine for our needs, if a bit cramped (it is a bunkhouse). Food at the Oak Tree is of a very high "pub grub" standard and our meals were good. Breakfast is a full monty help yourself and set us up fine for the next stage. Staff... more

Excellent inn for walkers/campers wanting a rest and good food.Prices are reasonable. The walls are thin enough to hear people next door talking and you'll hear people talking in the bar as well.We stayed in the deluxe room(9),but at £100 I can't see many walkers using it.Do not wear posh clothes as most people are in their walking clothes. I... more

Stayed for a weekend with family. Great food for all tastes and pockets - especially good breakfatsts. If staying for dinner or lunch remember and book - hotel guests get no privileges! Travelling with children the family rooms are great on space, comfort and cleanliness - although Room 8 being above the restaurant once the kids were in bed you... more

Stayed one night whilst walking the West Highland Way. Reception is in the bar. We were shown to our room which was lovely & clean. The menu was varied enough for most tastes. We ordered starters and main courses. Portions were very generous. The place is busy but found the food to be first class. Our room was a bit... more

What a fantastic location and stunning building This is th second time we have been here for lunch and this time took friends as well. Whilst the food was on the whole good the kids meals had chips covered in salt which was a little dissapointing and the service was a real let down compared to our previous visit. The... more
