*Arrived mid afternoon. While standing outside the locked main (glass) door waiting to be allowed in, I could see the "receptionist" casually chatting to another member of "staff," he looked at me a few times carried on talking for then eventually strolled around to his office put his head through the hatch and then buzzed me in and proceeded to... more

I am a firm believer of value for money. Since it was a one nighter, I wasn't particularly bothered about where I stayed. But we asked for en suite rooms and was not given them, then when we asked for en suite and got them, the rooms were EVEN worse. Unclean cramped and stale smelling. I was surprised not to... more

The initial room was smelly, but we moved to a family room for an additional fee. It took a while for the heater to take off, but eventually worked. Central location with breakfast. Breakfast is served till 9 am, but the kitchen closed at 8.45 am and the person refused to make eggs. So it was toast and cornflakes (not... more

On arrival our inital room stunk and the toilet smelled of urine, having one of my friends retching. After complaining we were moved into another room which was definitely cleaner. The man at the front desk was excitable and a little odd. The kitchen staff in the morning were not overly friendly and seemed a little annoyed they had more... more

Don't make the mistake we did! Booked us in next to the dining area and we heard EVERYTHING, the dishes clattering the help singing and yelling. The water in the shower kept cutting off on us! Imagine having soap in your eyes and trying to get the 'concierge' to help you! The room itself was creepy! I didn't want to... more

Over-priced for very basic, poorly-maintained room. It was clean, but shabby and cold - there was one radiator which barely worked. Shower was awful, main light in the room didn't work then all the electrics fused. Stay at one of the other places on Renfrew St instead. more

When we arrived at the hotel we were questioned about paying for accommodation at this stage we hadn’t even seen our room, as we headed up the three flights of creaky stairs the banisters were unsteady and very shaky and gave no support what so ever, as we went to unpack our clothes we then stopped and left our stuff... more

me and my boyfriend stayed here overnight on hogmanay to avoid the taxi journey home. All in all it was a place to bed down for the night. The room was basic and there were some stains on the duvet cover but sheets were clean underneath, the bathroom was ok. Breakfast was great just what we needed after a heavy... more
