I slept in this hotel twice, in two different times. The first time was great! A very nice, new, comfortable and bright room. Unfortunately I forgot my earplugs and seagulls and people and noisy floor wake me very early. However the room was really lovely and clean and I liked it. The second time was awful!! I seriously slept in... More

This hotel is part of the hotels owned by Mr & Mrs Bassi - they run cheap dirty disgusting hotels and have degeneratives living there. Do yourself a favour dont stay there. They also own a hotel called the Rennie Macintosh on Renfrew Street. Dont whatever you do stay there. I booked our room through Booking.com who wont take responsibility... More

The biggest pluses going for this hotel are the price and location. As we were only in Glasglow for one night it seemed to fit the bill. We were put in room 201 which we learned in the morning was beside the boiler room. We were intermittently woken up throughout the night by the boiler and so for its purpose... More

This hotel is well located close to the Central railway station, shopping malls, cultural attractions and the shuttle bus stop to/from the airport. The hotel occupies a listed building, which has been modified to provide the usual expected facilities. A new lift is being installed and will be in operation shortly. The current single lift is a little slow, but... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Its location is great to visit Glasgow, however, I feel that there could be some major improvements to this hotel. Lift is soo slow, it takes approx 5 minutes to reach your room from the moment you press the button, and god forbid there are a number of people waiting for it (and... More

Poor small room like an attic. TV didn't work and an awful smell of damp. Lift was a nightmare waiting up to 20 minutes was only one small lift. Staff and breakfast excellent however. Will go elsewhere next time sorry

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel is quirky, stylish and steeped in history. All the things that I love and it just made me smile from the moment I stepped into the foyer until the morning I left. The staff were so friendly and helpful and if you are looking for a hotel that offers oodles... More

Stayed here for two nights I had a refurbished room which was excellent, comfortable double bed, nice en suit with a good powerful shower. Staff are really helpful. My only disappointment was the breakfast, which on both days looked as though it had been cooked the night before, reheated, and kept warm in the hotplate for ages.

Last night in Glasgow was spent here. Older style hotel which has been renovated quite sometime ago and badly needs a significant investment of money to bring it up to standard. Rooms are smallish but serviceable but the bathrooms are quite pokey and in need of work. Energy thing works but it takes awhile for the hot water to get... More

For a short visit to Glasgow this hotel is rather ok. It is old and worn out, mould in the bathrooms, cold, not very clean. The ladies at the reception might have a lesson in hospitality, We arrived at 13.30 hrs but had to leave again because check in was not allowed until 14.00 hrs. The breakfast was ok. The... More
