On arrival staff were friendly and helpful. Went into our room that was spacious. Went into the bathroom and found long black hairs on the sink. Used the shower that had no safety and functioned from a mix of the hot and cold tap. The hot water was exceptionally hot and if not mixed properly with the cold there is... More

Stayed here on monday 17th November 2014. Room small but clean. Chair ripped. Lace curtains ripped. Excellent shower. Was a warm room and hallways warm. However, the large sitting rooms had no heating on and were cold. If you wanted served at the bar, you had to go find the staff. We opted to take our own two small bottles... More

This was a weekend stay with a friend. We wanted something cheap, central and within walking distance of the rock nightclubs we were intent on visiting. This ticked all the boxes. Our twin room was a decent size with a double and a single. The bathroom was huge and the shower worked well which is a must for me. Decor... More

Leave the Grand Central Glasgow rail station by the Argyle Street exit. Cross the street and turn right at the corner. The hotel is about 2 mins walk on right hand side. You will pass a Wetherspoon pub and The Waterloo pub is almost next door to the hotel. The hotel is a tad faded and no frills. However, my... More

Our check in and subsequent service was just fine. The room was small but clean and in good repair. The whole place is rather old and a little tired but well maintained. The elevator is incredibly slow so we walked the stairs most of the time. Breakfast was okay, but typical buffet quality. Unfortunately the neighborhood is run down. But... More

Hotel front is nothing to rave about although interior is alot better. Great location for shops and Central Rail station a few minutes walking distance. Public rooms spacious with great decor. Room was fine and bed comfortable, breakfast was good waiting staff very efficient and friendly. Lift small and SLOW, the "chuck out" time (10.30hrs Sunday) is early although there... More

Easy to find and very central, located just minutes from Central Station and the shops. However that's about all there is good to say. On arrival we were given our key and proceeded up to the 5th floor. Instantly you are hit by the smell which progressively gets worse as you wander further along the corridor. On eventually finding our... More
