We stayed here for my 40th birthday and on arrival found we had been given an upgrade to one of the loft appartments which was a lovely surprise and that hotel staff had left me a birthday card. I wasn't blinkered by that but we did find that the hotel location was excellent, everywhere was clean and the health suite... more

Our first time in Glasgow and pleasantly surprised with all we saw. Hotel good position - easy to walk to centre (Argyl Street) and sightseeing bus stops outside hotel - hop on and off . Staff extremely helpful and very efficient service in restaurant. For large chain this is an excellent hotel. Only snag is driving instructions provided on website.... more

Poor experience all round and even worse than that of our last stay 3 years ago, especially considering the price has risen to an exhorbitant 123 quid per room! Arrived just after 1pm last saturday and informed that rooms would not be ready til 2pm. We had an expensive drink whilst waiting at the bar and returned to reception at... more

Please accept my sincere apologies, as this is certainly not our normal standard. I have just returned from staying at this hotel for the second time and am now even firmer in my mind that I will NEVER stay there again. The first time I went with my husband for his birthday and we intended to make this our base while we travelled around local distilleries and sights. We were pleased with the... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2009. Our room was clean, very comfortable and spacious. The price was good value and much cheaper than most of the other chain hotels in the city centre. Staff in all areas were exceptionally friendly and helpful...nothing was a bother. Buffet breakfast was a little disappointing however. Cold table was ok but... more

I booked the function suite for my graduation ball that I was arranging. On the night staff could not have been more helpful, the meal was delicious and value for money and included in the price was lovely menues, table plans and place cards. I was upgraded to one of the split level apartments which was lovely. My parents also... more

We stayed at the Menzies hotel for one night on our wedding anniversary, and could not fault it!. From check in till check out the staff were friendly, and very helpful. We had a very large room which was nicely decorated and immaculately clean with no noise at all from the road outside. Breakfast was extremely good with lots of... more

Myself and my husband stayed there on 4th June 2009 - we had fantastic time from luvly lunch to relaxation in pool, sauna, jacuzzi etc. The meal at night was also delicious although the only negative I have is the portion size - while my husband enjoyed the steak which was a good size - my duck was on the... more
