Just read the other reviews - I'm glad I didn't read them before we went! Our room was OK, clean, basic and comfortable. Good location for the City Centre - just a short walk along the Clyde, across the footbridge, and then a bit more to get to Buchanan Street. We were happy with our stay.

Arrived in Glasgow for training for my new job, the teenage boy (a similar age to myself at the time) on the check in desk winked at me and asked me to call him if I needed anything and made me feel uncomfortable. The room was the worst I have ever stayed in, damp, bathroom covered in mould, brown marks... More

This hotel is the dirtiest place I've ever stayed. Bathroom covered in mould, door handle hanging off, paper thin mattress and not very friendly staff. If you value your health do not stay here! I've never been scared to have a shower for fear of coming out dirtier or with lung problems. This hotel should be condemned.

Even by Travelodge standards this place is a dump. We were given a disabled room despite neither of us being disabled. The levels of cleanliness inside were terrible. The room its self was like a medieval dungeon. As for the bathroom, let's just say I was fearful to have a shower lest I came out dirtier. Easily the most vile... More

This is basic, not as smart as some Travelodges. But the parking is free and it's cheap. Also, it's just down the road from "The Village Curry House" which is an excellent place for an evening meal or a lunch.

I stayed here with friends on a recent trip to Glasgow for a wedding. It was very cheap, £52 for two for a two night stay so value wise, really cannot complain. However, even for a Travelodge, the standard was poor. The room smelt, the bed was incredibly soft and unsupportive, sheets threadbare. TV did not have BBC just a... More

I wonder whether a quick browse through the reviews before my travel would have changed my choice of hotel... Probably not! I needed an affordable "place to crash" within a reasonable distance from the city centre and this Travelodge was perfect. It was much cheaper than other budget hotels within the central area of Glasgow and had a free parking.... More

I don't like moaning about Travelodge, because customers know what to expect when they make a booking. It would take an idiot to turn up disappointed not to find a jacuzzi or waterbed for the price that Travelodge charge. I find that they all look the same inside, which is a good thing because you know where you are with... More

A Typical Travel Lodge, not to dear, handy for city centre. Pleasant 20 minuet river side walk on the way into town. Once you are away from the main roads next to the actual Lodge. Lots of well known nearby restaurant's. Friendly staff who were willing to help at every opportunity. My second stay and would stay again.

A lot of hotels fill rooms with homeless people sent by the Local Council. Most customers are probably unaware, because the homeless people/families don't any problems. Unfortunately, during my stay, I was aware ! Door slamming, food mess on the floor, odd people (and children) hanging about in corridors, and a semi-permanent posse of tattoed smokers around the entrance. There... More
