Although the Hotel does look a bit old from the outside the room I had was very clean and well appointed, it was called a clubman room, it was very large having room for a lounge at one end. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the breakfast buffet was good. The location was excelent right in the middle... More

I arrived last night having just read some reviews and was therefore not as shocked as I could have been! The room is exactly as people describe, old, shabby, dirty and with a bed as hard as nails and pillows as flat as pancakes and no workable aircon, I have had an horrendous night's sleep and unfortunately have two more... My parents stayed at this hotel from the 18th -20th April. They were treated so well by the friendly staff and they even sang happy birthday to them at dinner on Friday night, when they took through their surprise lit candles on their desserts. Thank you for making their weekend so special

This is a great location for Glasgow city centre. The hotel does look a bit tired, needs recarpeting and a facelift but our room was fine, very comfortable, nice shower room. We were overlooking George Square on a Friday night, no problems with noise. The breakfast buffet was really good. Quality food, well cooked and served hot, what more can... More

Me and my boyfriend stopped here for Easter weekend and I know that it was a good price but it was grubby and nasty in our room, stained ceiling, carpet needed a good clean, the toilet and tiles around it were tatty and broken!! Really very disappointed!!

Stayed here over the Easter hold on a 2 night break and must say it was an excellent break and we would have no hesitation in staying there again. Yes, the hotel does look a little tired and slightly dated in places but our room was fine with very little noise or disturbance despite having the railway station directly out... More

This is an excellent location for Central Glasgow, shops etc within easy walking distance . It is however an old building which is tired inside and in need of some TLC and general renovation work. Bedroom was clean and had a superb view over George Square with adequate facilities in the room, it was in need of some paint, a... More

I was expecting more from a club room costing £175 per night. The whole place is shabby, needs a good revamp. Our room was large and bright but very old fashioned. In 1980 it would have been 4 star, but not today. The bathroom was ancient and I had to run around in the shower to even get wet. The... More

It is wonderful this hotel has kept many of its traditional features. If your looking for modern then this is not for you. This hotel is perfectly situated for all, sightseeing, shopping and more. Tastefully decorated & the staff are all very welcoming.
