I stayed here for 3 nights while I was in Glasgow for a show! I like it while I stayed there but now that I'm home, my skin has been inching, i have bites everywhere and yes I have BED BUGS. Didn't know what it was at first but after spending 5h on my laptop researching it and now reading... More

The title says it all - this is for sure a budget hotel, no frills but clean room and excellent location, apart from the steep hills leading to hotel. I booked a single ensuite, and that is what I got - clean and tidy - but no soap at all in toilet or shower area. TV in room with freeview... More

This place is filthy. The shower was disgusting, there was a chest freezer outside our room door, which staff came down to for breakfast food at 6 am. not bothering to be quiet or try to keep the noise down, but shouting back and forth to remind one another of forgotten items!!! When u was woken up in the morning... More

We booked this hotel for its convenient location for a gig in Glasgows ABC and for the price - it was £50 for myself and my boyfriend for a double room for one night. on arrival it had the feel of a hotel abroad, with the hideous blue holiday and wooden floors, but we weren't complaining - we weren't planning... a cute, clean hotel, that is very close to the city centre. if you're not a 5* fancy hotel fan and you seek for something with more local character and atmosphere, then this is the one! It's location is its most high-rated attributed, while the restoration of the building is on the bottom of the list. However, there is a... More

Located in a quiet street one block away from the main street with lots of life and restaurants and shops. We had to leave at 5am to catch a train and without asking we were offered continental breakfast before we left which was great.

Breakfast not as advertised at all there were no kippers, black pudding or haggis of greasy deep fried potato scones and scrawny sausages. Kitchen / dining was like a cheap greasy cafe for the homeless. Room was basic but musty with mould in shower and hair in plug hole. Did not shower as could not bear to go in. Would... More

Room was smelly and shower broken, no hot water. Very noisy! Maids started cleaning and clattering about at 7am in morning, loud music in kitchen can be heard in bedrooms downstairs. More like a hostel than a hotel.

Good location & reasonable priced. Ok breakfast We were located at the top floor, over 50 stairs to climb (no lift)- it was a good thing we were a young group. We booked a total of 4 rooms, most of them were fine however our room was tiny. I had to move beds as every time I sat up I'd... More

This is a good budget hotel in the west end of Glasgow within easy walking distance of the city centre although beware the hills and steps! However, having walked from Buchanan Bus station ( and past the Victorian), to the "Charing Cross Guest House" further along the street, (which is where I had booked) I was very disappointed to be...
