My second stay at the City Inn, again really pleased with the accommodation. You have to get a taxi anywhere, but it wasn't a problem as I was on business. Nice, clean, modern and plenty of facilities. Everything you could want for and more like free Internet. Would certainly recommend this for a business stay or if you don't want... more

The most important service when you book a room at a hotel is that they will provide you with a room when you arrive. Despite booking months ahead this hotel had no rooms for two of our party. This appeared to be also a problem for another guest that arrived at around the same time. The only reason to book... more

Had stayed at this Hotel on 2 previous occasions: believe it was quite a bit more expensive then than our most recent visit! Rooms had had an overhaul, which made them really bright and clean. Very inviting. All fixtures were of a very high standard. Shower Room was lovely - great power shower! Perfect for our one-night stay. Bus Stop... more

Just back from a lovely two night stay at this hotel - the rooms are really clean and comfortable also quiet. Breakfast was also very good try the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon! more

Great clean stylish hotel. Just opposite SECC so great for concerts. Hotel reception tiny, and rooms are really small as well, but really smart including cd's as well!! Only downfall in room was no bath, which I missed! Paid a good rate for great service. Will be back! more

Really nice hotel, everything works !! Great for business, great for SEC Modern, clean, efficient.... I would highly recommend it and at very reasonable rates. 15min walk to centre of town or take a very inexpensive cab Food very nice, if slightly expensive more

Stayed there as was attending a concert at SECC. Very handy as only 5 min walk away... Not too handy for town tho but public transport (bus, train or taxi) is available nearby. Hotel is really nice - rooms are modern altho ours was a bit on the small side. Drinks in mini bar very reasonable, bar prices also. Staff... more

I've stayed at the City Inn twice while I've been in Glasgow. It's a bit of a walk to go anywhere. The beds are comfortable but after a while my and my boyfriends back and neck were bothering us. The maids don't seem to speak English too well. I tried during both visits and all I received was a confused... more

This very nice hotel overlooking the Clyde could be a top hotel in Glasgow- apart from the very bad service by the reception staff. They could not have been less interested in your stay or the welcome they give. They are uninterested and unwelcoming. Also, because they are uninterested in you and your stay if you pay for an item... more

Stayed at four of the City Inn, Chain so far. This one is probably the weakest so far. Strong points. Good riverside location, modern business facilities. Bar staff were excellent and helpful. Weak Points. Bedrooms starting to show tiredness. Bar is soul less despite great staff. Reception took 40 minutes to find an ironing board. Made mistake of eating in... more
