Had stayed at this Hotel on 2 previous occasions: believe it was quite a bit more expensive then than our most recent visit! Rooms had had an overhaul, which made them really bright and clean. Great clean stylish hotel. Just opposite SECC so great for concerts. Hotel reception tiny, and rooms are really small as well, but really smart including cd's as well!! Only downfall in room was no bath, which I missed! Paid a good rate for great service. Will be back! more

Stayed there as was attending a concert at SECC. Very handy as only 5 min walk away... Not too handy for town tho but public transport (bus, train or taxi) is available nearby. I've stayed at the City Inn twice while I've been in Glasgow. It's a bit of a walk to go anywhere. The beds are comfortable but after a while my and my boyfriends back and neck were bothering us. Stayed at four of the City Inn, Chain so far. This one is probably the weakest so far. Strong points. Good riverside location, modern business facilities. Bar staff were excellent and helpful.
