Me and my husband dont get a way very much and we wanted to be close to family that stay in glasgow and we came across the brunswick hotel. As soon as we walked into reception the lady on reception was fantastic she told us our room 205 and we get a free drink it was great for what we... More

As a Birthday treat, we booked the Brunswick, instead of using our usual Glasgow B&B...paying £170 for 2 nights with NO breakfast included, we assumed the rooms would have the wow factor. What a dissapointment. The stairway up was filthy and dark, covered with bits of carpet remnants for 2 days, they could have just been vaccumed up in 5 minutes!... More

So, on a recent visit to. Glasgow, I stayed in The Brunswick. I don't do this very often, in fact, never, however, I was so disappointed with the hotel, I felt I should show you my room.... I've not exaggerated this at all. We asked if we could change and we were told that I could upgrade to the penthouse... More

I wonder, reading some of the previous reviews here, what some travellers expected for their money at this budget city centre hotel. For £65 for 2people bed and breakfast in the heart of Glasgow a week prior to the CommonWealth games, anyone expecting luxury is kidding themselves. This hotel was perfect for us, the bed, shower and toilet were spotlessly... More

Really enjoyed the restaurant class atmosphere and good food choices. However the rooms were tiny and the bathroom needed updating.Loved the location of the hotel. Merchant city is very enjoyable. Brunswick was not my cup of tea.

I really wanted to give this place a better rating as the people that work there are nice, and SEEM to try..... But the reality is that management is seriously lacking. It could be cleaner, that's for sure. I stayed for a few nights and my room went uncleaned for two of them, no fresh towels, bed unmade. Breakfast was... More

We picked this hotel on its city centre location, which is very handy. We were a group of 12 looking for a bed for the night. The rooms are basic but clean, we booked the apartment and 3 rooms on 4th floor and everyone was happy enough with their rooms & bathrooms. The corridors are decorated in very dark colours... More

I'll start with the good points about this hotel, it is VERY central 5-10min walk to buchanan street, close to both rail stations and George Square. Bar/cafe attached offers good food and drinks and initially a friendly atmosphere. Rooms are clean. And that's about all I can say for the positives. For £85 a night the hotel is VERY shabby.... Stayed at Brunswick Hotel on 17th April and it will be first and last time. Good points first: fantastic location, great use of small space, iron/ironing board/tea & coffee facilities all provided. Now for the bad news: looks very much like a hostel - corridor very dark and dingy and carpet on stairs filthy. Had booked double standard but was... More
