4 of 5 stars NEW

Not very new. Not very posh. But nice, clean and just what we were looking for. Very good value for money. Nice and helpful staff. Location is good as well: apr. 5 minutes on food to the subway and located very close to the university and a lot of nice pubs and restaurants.

The location of location of the hotel is great, in the west end of Glasgow near the subway. We have stayed at the hotel a couple of times and it has always been ok. The showers leave a little to be desired and the rooms can be a bit cold but I guess for the price it can't be perfect.... More

What a lovely spot for a few days stay. Booked on line not knowing what to expect thinking one night would be enough. Ended up staying an extra. Staff were excellent. The room (three adults) was huge. Lots of room to move around, store luggage and such a lovely feel about it. Straight across the road was the beautiful Botanic... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday 2 weeks ago and we had a superb time. Our room was lovely with a comfy big bed and we had great night out at Oran Mor after a shopping trip. Breakfast was just what doctor ordered very tasty. I would definitely come back!

Room was very clean. Found the heater powerful, it can be very costly to install central heating in buildings such as this so I don't mind the electric heaters. Comfy bed. The decor has seen better days, very dated. Bathroom small but functional, and in a delightful shade of avocado green - retro is the polite way to describe it!... More

2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2014

My partner and I stayed here in early November for a birthday weekend in Glasgow. We checked in at 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon and checked out at 6.30pm the same day. Firstly, the location is great....Opposite the Botanical gardens and minutes away from Byers Road/Ashton Lane. Sadly, the room was tiny and dull. The temperature outside that day was 10c... More

I genuinely appreciate all guest feed back, and I am grateful for guests taking the time to review our hotel. However I must disagree with this review, the room heaters are controlled by a thermostat and would automatically switch on if the room temperature dropped to 18c, the heaters are very efficient and the rooms heat up quickly. As mentioned... More

Stayed here recently. First thing i noticed was the strong smell of fried sausages which seemed to linger throughout the building over the 2 days we were there. Room we had was a bit small, a loft conversion and you really couldn't swing a cat if you tried. Comfy bed, clean enough aside from the usual areas of tiling anywhere... More

Great quiet location for Botanics and Byers Rd, this hotel was clean with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was substantial. Only downside was a V noisy shower (room19) but apparently required replacement part is on order!!!

Perfectly adequate hotel with clean and warm rooms. Excellent shower/bathroom with plenty of hot water. Great if you are looking for triple room suitable for 3 adults as we struggled to find somewhere that could accommodate us along with our 16 year old son. Breakfast very good.
