We were going to Hampden Park to see AC/DC so just staying one night. Bus from airport cost about £5.00. Nice location by Botanic gardens. Rooms clean, breakfast ok but not a great deal of choice if you dont eat full english. Staff booked a taxi for us to stadium but didnt show up so we were treated to a... more

Stayed in this hotel with friend from work for 1 night. Travelled from Manchester to see united versus celtic. Staff were very nice(what little we were there to see them!) Hotel very smart, room basic but did the job. Price very reasonable(40quid), Parking on road in front of hotel for free. A five minute walk down the road, through a... more

Stayed in the Ambassodor for three nights with my husband. Very nice, reasonbly priced accomodation. Nice comfortable room, clean and very quiet. Good Scottish breakfast every morning. The staff were very friendly which seems to be the way with all the Scottish people we met. The hotel reception closes at 10pm so there are no bar facilities after this time,... more

Stayed at this hotel for a week-end of shopping and eating out in Glasgow. Very good location, only minutes from Byres Road. Bedroom was comfortable with a small fridge, shower but no bath. Very clean and a good cooked breakfast. Would recommend it for a short break. more

I had a very nice two-night stay at the Ambassador in Glasgow. The hotel is well situated for the West End, just a short walk to the Botanical gardens, Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Art Museum and close to the Hillhead tube stop. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The single room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel features a wireless network... more

I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel overnight on a busness trip. The quiet location in the west end of Glasgow is very pleasant - close to the Botanic Gardens and the impressive buildings of Glasgow University. I was lucky enough to get an 'upgrade' to the adjacent Ambassador apartments but my colleague was more than happy with his room in... more

Our family stayed here for three nights and had a very unpleasant experience. There were many problems. The staff was surly; check in was an hour later than was listed on our confirmation; the bathrooms were moldy; we were asked to pay the bill ahead of time, etc. However, what motivated us to submit this review was the fact that... more

A great hotel with a great location. We were in the middle of the west end yet the hotel was very quite. City centre is only 2 stops in the tube. Rooms were very clean and very well furnished. Could definately reccommend this hotel. worth a visit. On our departure we noticed there were self catering apartments next door to... more

Extremely small cramped room. No elevator, so if you're traveling with luggage you will need to haul it up and down stairs yourself. Zero atmosphere. This was much more like a B&B than a hotel and not a very nice one. The location is close to the West End which is a plus if that's something you're looking for, but... more
