Called twice to confirm cot for my 10 month old son. No cot when we arrived at 11pm at night. Two members of staff took 15 minutes to assemble the cot. Left without any blankets, covers. My wife found a duvet in the cupboard. Stains and "hair" on it. Disgusting. Room was freezing, window wouldn't close properly. For £90 per night... More

I have traveled all over the world and this has to be a joke of a hotel with a joke of a rating.I honestly don't know where they got the rating from. Here is my families experience. The hotel looked great on the website and on the hotel decor wise looked superficially very nice. I was looking forward to our... More

From the great first impression given by the receptionist on arrival until the end of our stay 2 days later everything was faultless. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a junior suite which had a decked veranda. We ate in the restaurant and the food was to a very high standard, presented well and excellent value. We were going to be... More

This place is like Fawlty Towers. I booked with Late Rooms as it looked like good quality accommodation with onsite parking. I arrived to find no parking. Phoned reception who directed me to drive down the narrowest back alley into the rear carpark. It was completely full and I then couldn't reverse out. Staff helpfully moved bins to try to... More

Stayed at this hotel last week Feb 2014, firstly the staff get a mention, very friendly and helpful, in a genuine down to earth manner, which created a cosy and homely atmosphere. Without a doubt the best hotel staff we have ever had. Rooms were spacious and very clean, the hotel location is great, only a short and inexpensive taxi... More

Being somewhat tradionalist I enjoy good quality fish with hand cut chunky chips. Sadly with the demise in standard of the well known city centre fish restaurants I had until recently been travelling to Ayrshire for my favoured dish. Thankfully I decided to try this delightful hidden gem, The restaurant is part of a lovely boutique hotel in the Southside... More
