The Sandyford hotel is located in Sauchiehall Street, in a very trendy area of Glasgow, of the west End, at walking distance from the University. The hotel is clean and welcoming. The double room was large enough, but very, very basically furnished; in the bathroom there was not even a stool; no hair dryer; towels (old and ragged) are not... More

Just back from an overnight stay with 7 friends. Room was lovely, quite modern and a decent size. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We were on the ground floor and slept with window open but It was very quite. Only gripe was we were positioned all over the hotel with 2 being at the very top. No good when... More

This hotel was just ok. I kind of feel that some of the staff really don't what to be there. I am a seasoned traveller and realize Europeans ,for the most part , find North Americans obnoxious. I get it. However, I also am in the service industry. People from all walks pay decent $$ to stay at places like... More

This was an adequate hotel for one night's stay although I would stay again for a bit longer visit. The staff were approachable when looking for things in the neighborhood. We forgot our plug converter and asked if they might have one available. They do have some but all were being used. So they let us know where we might... More

I had just been spending 6 months travelling around hostels so when I came to Glasgow and saw that the only hostels available weren't that flash I decided to spend a little bit more and get a nice hotel. The Sandyford was the perfect place to stay for my time in Glasgow. It wasn't too expensive and the room was... More

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the stairs. They were curved, and the hand-rail was on the narrow side. However, they carried my bag up for me, and they did offer me a room on the same floor as the breakfast-room. My room was nice - sort of Art Nouveau, with many black squares and a... More

Stayed at this hotel out of desperation recently. Although the price was only £45 for a double room at the last minute and the room was clean and comfortable it was fairly basic. The duvet was quite light - thank goodness, it was the summer time or it would have been freezing with no extra blankets in the cupboard -... More

It was my fiancees decision to stay here as we always decide on the day where and what to see/do! It finally got us to relax and made us feel comfortable!!! The TV was a bit weird as it was on the side wall for everyone to see it but nobody would be comfortable to watch! We wouldn't bother as... More
