This is a 'not so cheap' budget hotel. The amenities are poor, the service is poor (when we arrived we asked if we could swap our twin room for a double and without even making eye contact with us the man at the desk just said no way), the rooms are fairly spacious but are not clean and have an... Our first visit to Glascow and we needed a place to stay for 3 nights. This hotel served the purpose for what we wanted and came to Glascow for. Clean room, serviced everyday. Full English Breakfast. Tea and coffee in the room. It does not provide shampoo but it does soap. A hairdryer is available at reception. Staff at the... More

This hotel is very comfortable and friendly. We had the room at the front which was large with a good shower. Although it faced the main road we were not overly disturbed by the noise. We walked into the town centre from here (about 20 minutes) and, looking at other hotels of a similar type on the way, felt that... More

The hotel was comfortable and the food was good. But my room was facing the road. It was noisy the whole night with trucks and buses. The front desk was not very sympathetic, they suggested that I buy ear plugs. I ended up having to use my headphones and listen to Rain videos on YouTube. Think twice if you are... More

Stayed here on a business trip mid week. Made very welcome immediately by receptionist who offered helpful advice on local restaurants and shops. Rooms have free wi-fi and flat screen TV's and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms. No lift as far as I can tell. Not suitable therefore for disabled or infirm.

I have been visiting Glasgow twice a year for the last 4 years. Since 2011 I have been staying at the Sandyford Hotel. It has been a fantastic place for me. This hotel offers great service, has extremely friendly staff, it is extremely clean, offers great hot/continental breakfast, and it very conveniently located from everywhere in town. It is a... A little away from the town centre but a nice little walk, the Sandyford provides good service that at times do go above and beyond their duties. Large size room but top floor so very very hot in summer. Beds were a little uncomfortable with occassional 'spring-in-back' issues but overall, a nice stay for an overnight journey.

Had a great sleep, good size of room with a TV. The room was clean and cooked breakfast the next morning was fantastic and its included in the price of the room which is even better. Staff are so friendly and more than willing to help and I would stay here again.

We have stayed here several times, the rooms are neither huge nor lavish, but it is always spotlessly clean with friendly, helpful staff. You can park your car beside it for a few pounds if you get a ticket from reception, then hop on a bus to town (£4.30 for daily ticket!). The bus from The KIng's Theatre brings you... More
