On the 'wrong' (i.e. northern) side of Cowcaddens road, this hotel is not as locationally-challenged as it looks on a map of central Glasgow: it's a short walk from Buchanan bus station and from the performing-arts precinct, and a doable walk to Queen Street station and the midtown shops. Also, it is close to a metro (underground railway) station, which... More

the Piper,s Tryst lacks a laundry service and an elevator. The stairs are great exercise and I found I could do without the laundry, besides I only wanted one because we had been on a hiking tour the week before. The Piper's Tryst is excellent for its staff of friendly helpful people, its excellent location, and its restaurant. The hotel... More

This small hotel has some of the most pleasant friendly staff I have encountered in any hotel except for one! The room was not very big but had everything you could need for a short stay. There was a reasonable size ensuite with a shower over the bath which had two shower heads - quite unusual and everything was spotlessly... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in June 2015 and it was very good. The room was immaculate as was the bathroom. The hotel/restaurant staff were polite and very knowledgeable. Buffet breakfast was very good with a selection of cereal, fresh fruit, juices, toast and tea or coffee. We will come back to this hotel if we return to Glasgow.... More

Stayed here last weekend the room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and plentiful hot water and white fluffy towels. The added convenience of a small safe in the wardrobe. Very handy for Buchanan street Bus Station and Theatres. The only drawback being the restaurant not open on a Sunday. Pleasant cheerful staff and a shortish... More

This hotel is perfect for exploring Glasgow, and to get a good night's sleep. Very good service, excellent continental breakfast, quiet and clean room. The only drawback may be that the restaurant is not open for lunch and dinner on Sundays by all means, but never mind. My choice no. 1 when returning to Glasgow.

Very much enjoyed my stay at The Piper's Tryst. Staff were extremely friendly and this small hotel provided great personal service - much nicer than a large, anonymous, corporate experience. Great location, lovely restaurant, everything easy, and the additional charm of seeing and hearing pipers if you're lucky.

Good value accommodation for location. Small and friendly hotel with a good choice of breakfast and evening meal menu. Nice to know that the cost of accommodation is used to further tuition for the bagpiping school which is also housed in the same building.

We recently had our wedding at The Pipers Tryst and had the most perfect day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food and service was excellent and all of our guests commented on what a great venue it was. Thank you to all the staff!

Small and charming hotel providing a smiling service, nice food and situation. The room was small but tasteful renovated with a very pleasant bathroom. Parking 100m from the hotel only. A friendly stop over close to the Royal Theatre.
