I recently stayed here with friends while we attended piping life, it was outstanding! The bedrooms are lovely, really good Scottish food and staff went out there way to make our stay very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again, my evening was very enjoyable.

Have stayed in this hotel many times before. All stays have been very enjoyable. The staff can't do enough for you. Restaurant food is delicious and the rooms are very well kept and equipped. The hotel is in a great location in Glasgow City centre in a slight quieter area but still within walking distance to major attractions. Will definitely... More

Stayed three nights in this 8-room hotel, attached to the National Piping Centre, both housed in a renovated old church. Were greeted with a wee dram of whisky. It is a couple of blocks from a subway stop, several concert halls, and also the city center, so good for strolling. There is a small museum of piping plus the opportunity... More

Just ordinary bed and Breakfast. the only good thing in this hotel is their frendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are small but not bad, but towels with holeys it's a top of disrespection to your guests! And wifi in the rooms is very poor

The best thing is the staff - very naturally friendly, helpful, relaxed and welcoming. A small hotel and restaurant which is part of the Scottish piping centre - very Scottish, very real Scottish - a charity run for Scottish bagpiping so all for a good cause. Nice old building. Decent food in the restaurant, nice bar - you get offered... More

We arrived for a one night stay on Tuesday 7th, previously we had had to make a couple of amendments to our booking as we had been invited to stay with friends just outside Glasgow. I contacted Sophie at the Tryist by e-mail and recieved a reply within minutes. She had amended the booking for me at no extra cost... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in June and had a lovely stay. The rooms are small but clean and well appointed. We were fortunate to get a room with a renovated bathroom and the tub was huge! The restaurant was amazing and the staff were wonderful. We have to mention two particularly sweet, lovely girls (Caitlin and... More

This is not some fancy hotel but you will feel great staying in it. Room is clean and comfortable. The girl on reception (I think her name was Sophie) was very helpful and tried her best to help us organize our short visit of Glasgow

Found this little gem, when at the last minute I had to arrange a business trip to Glasgow, all the usual chain hotels were booked up and I remembered a work colleague mentioning about one that is well worth a look. He is not wrong. The hotel is situated to the North of the city centre – close enough to... More

On the 'wrong' (i.e. northern) side of Cowcaddens road, this hotel is not as locationally-challenged as it looks on a map of central Glasgow: it's a short walk from Buchanan bus station and from the performing-arts precinct, and a doable walk to Queen Street station and the midtown shops. Also, it is close to a metro (underground railway) station, which... More
