My son had to cancel his wedding celebration party as his father became terminally ill and died. The management showed no sympathy or understanding at all. They would not take into account the extenuating circumstances. They even charged them for a case of Cava which they would not be there to use.So my advice to anybody booking for a function is to ensure... We are extremely sorry that you felt it necessary to write this review and are terribly sorry for your loss of a loved one. At the time of cancellation of wedding (21st March 2015) there was no death of a parent, although we were aware that your son’s father had become unwell. We had lengthy discussions with your son and... More

I wanted an unusual experience for my hen night and so organised, in conjunction with the National Piping Centre, an afternoon of fun which commenced with lunch in the restaurant (very tasty) followed by a guided tour of the museum, a come and try session on the bagpipes and a scottish beer tasting. It was very well organised and hosted... More

Stayed here for 1 night and found it to be an excellent hotel in all respects. It is small and very comfortable. The bedroom was spacious, spotless and had very nice Scottish touches. All staff were exceptional and they couldn't do enough for us. The option of a cooked or continental breakfast was nice. The Pre-theatre evening meal was delicious. Well... More

Hands-down the best bathroom of the three places we stayed (all were nice) -- with a bath and two shower options, plus the only washcloths we encountered in Scotland! The beds were comfy, the extra pillows appreciated, and the location excellent. Some have complained about the white noise of the humming A/C, but being used to sleeping with A/C noise... More

A convenient position though the surroundings are not very attractive. A small friendly hotel with very helpful staff. The National piping centre is an interesting building but the hotel itself is a modernised addition and lacks the personality of the main building. The small restaurant is convenient. There is no guest lounge. Good if you are on business or on a course at... More

I love this place! It's small but it's very beautiful inside. I went there for a special family get together and it was wonderful! It was small but I thought it was really nice and cosy. I slept in the twin room and it was spacious and the bathroom was beautiful!!

I stayed at the Pipers Tryst for two nights for business trip to Glasgow and will definitely stay there again next time I am staying in Glasgow. It is a small 8 bedroomed hotel just a 10 minute walk from the Central railway station ideally situated for a night out on the town without the need for a taxi. My... More

The Piper's Tryst is a lovely friendly little hotel in a great location. The rooms are simple and comfortable and the hospitality of the staff is flawless. The prices are reasonable and I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here in November on a short weekend break to Glasgow. The hotel is located on the edge of the city centre in a quiet location within walking distance of the shops and most of the attractions. We arrived early and so left out bags at reception, and went sight seeing. On return we booked in (the reception desk... More

Thank you for taking time to write in regards to your recent stay. We are delighted that you found us to be a ‘Lovely Small Hotel’. As a small hotel, we don’t have many frills that well-travelled guests are used to – there is no dedicated reception team here, but our excellent staff are multi-skilled to ensure a smooth check... i stayed overnight while attending a work event. Service from checking in, during evening meal and breakfast to checking out was first class - friendly and so welcoming. I stayed in one of the bedrooms with a newly furnished bathroom so was very comfortable and the stay was extremely good value. Food was well presented and totally delightful. Would recommend... We are delighted that you had a great stay at The Pipers’ Tryst Hotel and that you found our staff to be charming and very helpful. Our new bathrooms are great with oversized, rainfall showers, large baths and modern amenities – they really make the rooms a wee bit more luxurious.
