This small hotel is attached to the National Piping centre of Scotland in central Glasgow. It has 8 rooms but no lift and fairly steep stairs, there is no reception desk as such and we booked in at the bar which is in the restaurant.....not ideal if they are serving lunch. Also there is no residents lounge. The rooms were... More

Brought family from Australia here, who wished to sample Scottish fayre. We were not disappointed, there was 7 adults and 2 children. We opted for the 2 course lunch menu and the kids menu which was a main course, ice cream and a soft drink. I had pate to start with oatcakes and marmalade, very nice pate indeed. Then haggis,... For GBP 65/night, this place gives you the biggest bang for your buck in Central Glasgow, and believe me I paid much more for a worse place 5 minutes walk away (and without breakfast too), BUT don't expect all the bells and whistles of a full-service hotel for that price. As others have said, this is essentially an 8-room accommodation... More

First time for the Pipers Tryst booked for a birthday treat and visit to Glasgow. The hotel is small just 8 rooms but smack bang in the middle of the city 10 minutes walk from lots of the shops and attractions maybe 15 minutes walk from the main train stations. The rooms are a reasonable size and are clean and... More

We were in Glasgow for a show at a theatre and booked the Pipers Tryst, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were shown to our room which was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The breakfast was excellent with the option to have a full English if required. The hotel is well positioned in central Glasgow... More

Stayed at the Pipers Tryst for just a single night as my husband and I were attending a christmas party in the city. When checking in we were given a room on the 1st floor by a lovely girl who was friendly and polite. Our room and bathroom were both beautifully clean and comfortable. Not a sound at night from... I was attending the Sports Personality of the Year Awards and booked in to the Piper's Tryst. I was given a lovely warm welcome and shown to my room which was superb. Had a great night's sleep and a top quality breakfast in the morning. Well done to you all. Will definitely stay here if I am in Glasgow in... More

What a way to start our Scottish vacation. The hotel was quaint, the rooms ample and the bath good. For being on the edge of Cowcaddens Rd. a very busy street, we never heard any noise in our room, even with some construction across the street on the theatre. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was great. I recommend... More

Great little boutique hotel the beds are amazing, like someone previously my only fault was the noise from the extract fan which was constant . Great location close to shopping, pubs, high end eateries the city centre is only a five minute walk abut longer uphill back

We stayed for one night on Friday 7 November. On entering our room we could near the loud noise coming from an extractor fan. I immediately went down to the restaurant to enquire about this, I was assured that the fan would be switched off at 8 pm. I was offered a quieter room but as we were going out... More

Thank you for taking time to review our small ‘Restaurant with Rooms’. We are terribly sorry that you did not enjoy your recent stay. We are very grateful for your comments as it has allowed us to scrutinise this area of our building and the guest’s experience. As an old church building, the extractor fans have been placed on the... More
