Just ordinary bed and Breakfast. the only good thing in this hotel is their frendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are small but not bad, but towels with holeys it's a top of disrespection to your guests! And wifi in the rooms is very poor

The best thing is the staff - very naturally friendly, helpful, relaxed and welcoming. A small hotel and restaurant which is part of the Scottish piping centre - very Scottish, very real Scottish - a charity run for Scottish bagpiping so all for a good cause. Nice old building. Decent food in the restaurant, nice bar - you get offered... More

We arrived for a one night stay on Tuesday 7th, previously we had had to make a couple of amendments to our booking as we had been invited to stay with friends just outside Glasgow. I contacted Sophie at the Tryist by e-mail and recieved a reply within minutes. She had amended the booking for me at no extra cost... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in June and had a lovely stay. The rooms are small but clean and well appointed. We were fortunate to get a room with a renovated bathroom and the tub was huge! The restaurant was amazing and the staff were wonderful. We have to mention two particularly sweet, lovely girls (Caitlin and... More

This is not some fancy hotel but you will feel great staying in it. Room is clean and comfortable. The girl on reception (I think her name was Sophie) was very helpful and tried her best to help us organize our short visit of Glasgow

Found this little gem, when at the last minute I had to arrange a business trip to Glasgow, all the usual chain hotels were booked up and I remembered a work colleague mentioning about one that is well worth a look. He is not wrong. The hotel is situated to the North of the city centre – close enough to... More

On the 'wrong' (i.e. northern) side of Cowcaddens road, this hotel is not as locationally-challenged as it looks on a map of central Glasgow: it's a short walk from Buchanan bus station and from the performing-arts precinct, and a doable walk to Queen Street station and the midtown shops. Also, it is close to a metro (underground railway) station, which... More

the Piper,s Tryst lacks a laundry service and an elevator. The stairs are great exercise and I found I could do without the laundry, besides I only wanted one because we had been on a hiking tour the week before. The Piper's Tryst is excellent for its staff of friendly helpful people, its excellent location, and its restaurant. The hotel... More

This small hotel has some of the most pleasant friendly staff I have encountered in any hotel except for one! The room was not very big but had everything you could need for a short stay. There was a reasonable size ensuite with a shower over the bath which had two shower heads - quite unusual and everything was spotlessly... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in June 2015 and it was very good. The room was immaculate as was the bathroom. The hotel/restaurant staff were polite and very knowledgeable. Buffet breakfast was very good with a selection of cereal, fresh fruit, juices, toast and tea or coffee. We will come back to this hotel if we return to Glasgow.... More
