This hotel is possibly the worst I've ever stayed in! The carpet looked like it hasn't been hoovered - ever! Absolutely disgusting, it was so bad I had to keep my shoes on for the duration of my stay! Can't be bothered saying the rest as I dont want to give the hotel the satisfaction of writing a long review.... more

We stayed for one night. The area around the hotel was fine and it wasn't far from the city centre. Inside the room were abit shabby and needed re decorating but the room and bathroom were clean. First of all we booked it because it was cheap well that was a big mistake.We got a taxi to the hotel and the taxi driver pretty much told us terrible stories,and that we should have booked somewhere else.So after hearing these dreadful stories about junkies and that the place is also a hostel i was pretty freaked out.I had... more

poor cleanliness in room ie sticky surfaces and used teaspoon on side, toilet bowl was mouldy, unsafe windows/doors, ie patched up holes where obvious break-in attempts were made, bathroom door did not shut, bath riddled with cigarette burns, paper-thin walls, no lamp shades on bedside/main lights (bulbs only)breakfast not cooked properly, room gloomy on arrival as curtains were closed, smashed... more

As you approach the hotel, you're filled with a sense of dread and horror - this hotel is a scene of decay, no artist could ever capture. On immediate entry, the sense of apprehension is heightened by the offer to go inspect the room before checking in. What skeletons lie in the closets? The answer is clear when you enter... more

Lovely name, lovely hotel? no danger, utter disgrace to even have the name of the hotel associated with the great son of Glasgow, Alexander `Greek` Thomson. This germ, junkie infested hovel should be demolished and forgoten, as it is in no way representative of anything to do with said Mr Thomson. I booked in and booked out within an hour... more
