We stayed at the Glasgow Youth Hostel for 2 nights in January and really enjoyed our stay. We were after somewhere a bit cheaper than your average bed and breakfast. We booked a double room with en-suite it ended up being about half the price of a bed and breakfast. We arrived before our room was ready so we have... More

A surprisingly pleasant week in this nice area of Glasgow. Cheap parking, comfortable large double room and pleasant staff. I'm not fond of budget hotels but on a budget this place gave good service. My only negatives were the ridiculous charges for internet usage - WiFi really should be as much as the service as a bed and shower these... More

I booked a room at the Glasgow Youth Hostel last minute as we were coming through to Glasgow for Hogmanay, we were not looking for anything special just somewhere to lay our head and as the reviews on here were good I decided to go ahead and book. The hostel is about a 20minute walk from Charing Cross Station and... More

Hostel was better then I thought it would be. Beautiful property located in a quiet suburb next to a lovely park. However as a solo female I found it quite eerie at night coming from the city centre. Close to supermarket and about 20/25 minute walk from main bus station

This hostel isn't central, it is about a 20 - 30 minute walk to central Glasgow. The suburb its in is lovely though with a great big park outside and the views at night are great. I normally enjoy a hostel vibe but this was drab. The place is clean enough but the rooms are extremely hot. Waking up in... More

The location was not what we thought it would be. It was very close to the park and about a 20-30 minute walk to the city center/university center. There was no WiFi in the rooms. Not handicap friendly- lots of steep stairs and confusing layout of the building made it tiring to find our room. The room and toilet was... More

My sister and I spent 6 weeks travelling in England and Scotland and this was by far our favorite, most comfortable stay. It's in a beautiful location right on the park (so it's super quiet) and close to the museum, a yoga studio, and some great restaurants (definitely walk down to Stravaigin on Gibson if you want one of the... Excellent place to go if you are on a tight budget. This was my second stay at the hostel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The place is very conveniently located around some of the pubs that I like and you can walk to the University. The staff as always was friendly and eager to help. Surely worth every penny spent... I stayed here for one night whilst visiting Glasgow for a concert. I thought it great value. I had a single room (although it had 2 beds) with an en suite. The decor of the room was a little dated but for the price it is amazing value. I feared the mattress may have seen its best but it was... More

I put 15 Japanese students in here in November 2013. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location is right on Kelvingrove Park, a quiet location perfect for accessing both the West End and the city centre. Staff were kind and helpful. The place was clean and well-maintained. We spent three trouble-free nights and have no complaints.
