We booked a triple room at the Albion in January as we were going to the Commonwealth Games. It was difficult to find accommodation in the city but the Albion was very reasonably priced. Even though we couldn't check in as we were early, we were able to leave our luggage so we didn't have to drag it around. The... More

My wife and I took the kids on a three week trip through Rome and the UK that culminated with a three night stay in Glasgow. Having just recently visited with our Glaswegian Family during one of their recent visits to Canada, our stay in Glasgow was relatively short. For this visit to Glasgow, our Travel Agent found the Albion... More

I booked the Albion back in Jan.2014 to ensure accommodation. Whilst other hotels were raising prices for bookings during the duration of the games, the Albion quoted their daily standard fees. The hotel was well located being very near subway and other public transport. The pre purchasing of parking vouchers enables guests to leave their car at the hotel for... More

The bedroom: The bed was just comfortable enough to sleep on. No jabbing springs or obvious dips in the surface, but definitely a bit lumpy and slightly unpleasant. I also had a thick lumpy duvet but surprisingly fresh comfortable feather pillows. Also, for any Americans reading this, like so many UK hotel beds, this one did not have a top... More

A good value for money hotel, which does not profess to be what it is not - a 5* establishment. The publicity says what it is and that's what you get! The staff were always extremely friendly and helpful; as the brochure says, No meals (except breakfast if ordered) are provided but the area has a variety of different types... More

Although the location was great (less than 5 minutes by foot from the Kelvinbridge station, 10 from Uni, 15 from the Kelvingrove museum), the service was a bit lacking. The staff were all nice, but organizationally left a little something to be desired. The room was very small, and the bath was so tiny that I got caught between the... More

We are sorry you were disappointed in your stay at the Albion Hotel, you had booked a single room and that is what you were allocated, it is a standard size, the criteria for this is laid down by Visit Scotland. Due to the complexities of altering old buildings some of the bathrooms do mean shower doors and room doors... More

Arrived late Friday night, room really clean! However, no hot water that night or the following morning. Had to use another rooms shower due to having plans in the city. The problem was rectified by the time we were back. The room was very cold had to sleep with two duvets on the bed. Couldn't fault the staff, very helpful!... More

I am sorry you experienced a problem with the hot water when you arrived at the hotel, unfortunately our very loyal boiler of many years service finally decided it had had enough, we were in the process of trying to remedy the situation with minimal disruption to our guest's. This was managed by using emergency electrical immersers and as you... More

This is a very pleasant;clean and friendly little hotel in a good location (2 minute walk to Kelvinbridge subway station) by the River Kelvin with restaurants and bars very close by. I had a single room which had everything I needed for my 3 night stay (TV/tea and coffee/fridge/safe/radio/phone and a small but compact bathroom with very effective shower. There... More

A clean hotel that has character. Staff are friendly and helpful. Be careful using the sat nav, ours got us almost there, but sent us a little off and we had to refer to the map we got with our booking info, however this wasn't really a problem. Parking is on the street outside the hotel and you can get... More

Free wifi, the hotel was very clean, the rooms were small but very nice and the location was excellent. The staff were lovely and really went the extra mile for my girlfriend and I when she left behind some clothes. Great value, would stay again.
