The Albion Hotel in Glasgow's West End is a small, comfortable hotel. Rooms are large and functional, the staff is exceptionally attentive, and the location is excellent. As is true of many hotels in Scotland, breakfast is not included in the room rate but is served for an additional charge. Located on a quiet residential street, the Albion is within... More

I stayed in this hotel with a friend during a major international conference held in Glasgow. It was a 10mn taxi ride to the venue (The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre - SECC) which cost us about £4.50 each way. Taxi to and from the airport cost between £19-£25. There was a mistake on the booking (not the hotel's fault),... More

Because we were two adults and two children, we were given a room in the adjoining City Apartments. Room is perhaps not the best way to describe it, as it was truly an apartment with one large bedroom having two twin beds and a large lounge having an additional set of twin beds and a small (but complete) kitchen attached.... As a family of five we had breakfast on three mornings in this hotel as we were staying in the adjoining apartment owned by this hotel group. Duty receptionist Jackie was there at all times during our stay and provided excellent breakfasts each am served with a smile and plenty of friendly banter. The hotel had a P.C available in... More

I've recently spent 3 night at this hotel and I will surely come back here if I have to go to Glasgow again. The hotel is 10 min walk from the University of Glasgow and 2 min walk from one of the subway station. I was in the city center in less than 10 minutes. Room: it was spacious, clean... More

We stayed here on Sat. 28th January and thought it was really great. We got a kind welcome, had a really comfortable room (I have forgotten the room number but it was on the top floor and had a double and single bed, with views over to the front street. The location of this hotel is excellent to access the... More

What a lovely welcome we got from Jackie on arrival - makes such a difference after an early morning journey. Our room on the first floor, as requested, was very clean and comfortable complete with all our needs. The fridge is a welcome extra - maybe a small bottle of water would be a welcome addition as often that's the... More

Had a very pleasant three days here. Jackie was terrific - very welcoming, friendly and helpful. My room (5, I think) on the first floor was a reasonable size for a single, as was the en-suite. A nice touch to have a fridge, even if it was slightly hard to access. Bed very comfy. The location is excellent, as others... More

A modest comfortable hotel in an excellent location by the River Kelvin, convenient for walking to Kelvingrove, the Botanic Gardens and Oran Mor, and for subway and buses to the city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful; breakfast was at least adequate. We were on the ground floor - the stairs looked as though they might be a bit... More
