Stayed at the Buchanan Hotel last Saturday(10th May). Hotel in fantastic location 2 mins from train station and bang in the centre of Glasgow ideal for shopping and going out at night. The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming and rooms were basic but clean. I really dont know what people are expecting when they put bad reviews about... more

Great location smack bang in the centre of the city. Clean smart bedroom, plenty hot water, brill breakfast and staff were really nice. Plan to return later in the year and will use this hotel. more

It was a last minute city centre break i booked and i was so surprised about peoples reviews of the hotel when you enter the hotel you feel the history and character of the hotel and then your welcomed by a friendly receptionist the room was clean and tidy facing Buchanan Street. Went for dinner that evening and was greated... more

Terrible hotel, its so worn and old. Not pleasant at all to stay in, the place felt dirty and i was uncomfortable getting into the bed. Mine and my partners worst fears were confirmed with the discovery of a used pair of mens underpants in the wardrobe. Didnt want to sit through the breakfast as i had a feeling that... more

This hotel has a brilliant location. However this hotel is very very dated. No hot water. You could see the grease off peoples heads who had been lying against the headboards. Would not be in a rush to go back. more

IThe hotel is right in the heart of Glasgow: A perfect position if you are travelling without your own car.The bus and train station and the high street shopping area are just at your door step. The buffet breakfast is simply delightful: full Scottish , continental and a lot of fresh fruit . The staff was very friendly: I stayed... more

My partner and myself stayed for one night on Friday 13 July 2007 in a double room – room number 114. We booked this room one week prior to staying. On arrival we got our key from the receptionist who was very pleasant – in fact all the staff we encountered during our stay at the Buchanan Hotel were very... more

Without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of enduring. This place is a real cesspit. There are bars on the windows, but prison is a bit more luxurious, has a better atmosphere, and the food is better. My girlfriend and I planned to meet in the hotel as I have been working on the outskirts... more

I was up in Glasgow for a conference - the hotel is in a perfect position, next to the main bus and train stations, one block away from all the shops. There is also a Sainsbury's Central opposite which is ideal for picking up drinks and snacks. Everything in the hotel was clean and worked. The breakfast was excellent I... more
