I love this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. My husband and I had our wedding reception in the Mariott and we stayed the night afterwords. The bed was the best bit, I think I had the best sleep of my life. I will definatly be ordering a Mariott bed! more

We stayed at the Marriott Hotel as part of a 2 week trip to Scotland and London. We thought the hotel stay was just what we were looking for. It was close to the city center and there was a bus stop in front of the hotel. We did not eat at the hotel. more

At £148 for a 2 night stay B&B for 2 people, the Marriott was excellent value. Budget hotels in the city centre are usually about £60 per night and you still have parking (usually about £15 per day compared to £3 in the Marriott) and breakfast to buy, so £74 per night in a 4* hotel is excellent. The room... more

Just spent the weekend in Glasgow visiting family with my one year old, my mother and elderly aunt. The Marriott was a great base and good value with the buy two get third night free offer. Be warned though: the location is not great, there are no shops, restaurants or cafes nearby and you can't really walk anywhere from the... more

Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, had a big bed and close to the main tourist areas. There is also a tourist “hop-on-off” bus stop just outside the hotel (the ticket lasts 2 days so this was good value). The rooms were fairly large but in need of an update and felt very tired. It was by the motorway... more

Pros: Soft beds and comfy pillows. The breakfast service staff are lovely and chatty. The room service was efficient with our towels replaced when requested. We got the room type and pillows we requested. Cons: as follows... - The reception staff are not at all interested in helping you. We arrived after a long drive to be told the car... more

Located at Argyle Street, the tourist hot-spot, the moment you step out of the hotel and start walking, you will start getting the feel. The street is completely empty if you are there at 6 AM(I was!) and by 10 AM, you can experience the colors of life and celebration. You can find almost everything in that area, be it... more

Used this hotel for an overnight stay when out in Glasgow for the evening. Rooms, public areas and staff are all very pleasant. Had a lovely breakfast and had no complaints. The price of drinks in the night bar was a bit steep and the hotel is slightly out of the way for walking to the city centre, but other... more

As a native, I don't get to comment much on my "own" hotels, and only a Glaswegian will know that this hotel began life in the early 1980s as a Holiday Inn - it's been a Marriott now for well over a decade. Anyway, it's just had another makeover and I was in it for 5 days on a business... more

I stayed in this hotel with my elderly mother, brother and sister-in-law at the beginning of May for a 3 night stay and have to say I was pleasantly surprised as this is one of the large chain hotels I expected same-hotel-different-city. But I have to say that it was very clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful and... more
