This is a cool hotel in a very good location. The decor is unique and the rooms are as far from the standard Holiday Inn as you can get, especially the incredibly high ceilings. Breakfast was fairly standard, and the public places are small. The main reasons you would stay are for the funky style and the central location. The... More

First impressions are good, the waterfall and lift are super nice! Apart from that the rooms aren't all that. I was expecting more for what I paid! Never one to complain about anything really but first time ive encountered staff where some just seem a little rusty on customer service? Got given breakfast in my room but no morning or... More

I stayed at this hotel for over 2 months whilst working in Glasgow. All the staff I met were warm and friendly. It actually felt like home and I was made to feel this way by the staff. There are some fantastic rooms with high ceilings and stain glass windows. A very unique hotel. Rob Jones , Sheffield.

We travelled down from Aberdeen for the Cup final last weekend. The staff were great we arrived early and asked them to store our luggage until check in time. They let us check in at 9am which was brilliant our room was nice and very clean, and lovely fluffy white towels in the bathroom. Comfy bed aswell we had some... More

Spent a night here with friends. Friendly and pleasant staff. Room clean, nice bathroom. Bed uncomfortable. Far too soft and moved around. In our friends room the curtains where hanging off. The lift is old fashoned type. It is a nice feature but kept breaking down. Thought £110 was a bit expensive for the room with breakfast but close to... More

we stayed here 25th Feb, we had been looking forward to the stay, but sadly very disappointed, we booked through booking.com and feel because of this we were given a tiny room at the top, which had not been used for a while, the bathroom shelf was covered in dust, the paint work also covered in dust, the bathroom door... The hotel itself does look pleasant but is old. Room was nothing special but was clean and tidy. Food really seemed to be low standard and could really do with improvement and this was shown by the amount of people eating there. Staff were on reception but not within the bar area, had to ask in reception to be served.

This is an interesting building with a caged lift which fitted in well with the old building. The location is quite good as Glasgow is so easy to get around with most places of interest being within walking distance. The staff are all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied with plenty of choice and fresh juice. The... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our night at The Arthouse on Friday 21st February with a welcome from all the staff. Breakfast was first class and only had to wait while everything was cooked fresh, a great improvement fronm some hotels where the food is left for ages in warming dishes!! Bedroom was fine and overall an excellent hotel in great location.

Had a nice stay in the Arthouse, booked at the last minute for a one night getaway. The room wasn't large but it was unusual, double height ceiling due to a large stained glass window, really quirky. There are a number of quirky features in this hotel, the old fashioned cage lift, the golden lion rampant's on the walls, really... More
