Putting a extractor fan right outside a bed room is a joke. Noisy right though the night!!! Plus internet was terrible. Room service did not let me sleep through the day as knocked on my door all day!

front of house this place is good. Reception helpful and friendly. Quirky 100 year old lift, big interior water feature and Art Deco staircase. The room though.....very average to be honest. Could have been a hotel makeover on the cheap TV programme. Lick of paint, bit of artwork, new TV....sorted? Errr not really. Stained and ill fitting carpet, old fashioned... More

Stayed here on a last minute and paid out for a suite on a deal. We were not overwhelmed with the room when we checked in but it was not the sole purpose of our celebrates. The room had shabby furniture and there was in no way enough furniture for the size of the room it was like a sofa... More

Very nice decor to this hotel, room spacious and comfy enough, but must have caught the restaurant on an off day as there was only one member of staff available and she was woefully slow. Waited for 25 mins for her just to take an order, this considering there was only 3 people in the whole place.

This was our second stay and it was every bit as good as our first. The hotel is wonderful inside with loads of character and charm. Comfortable rooms and really comfortable bed. Breakfast is excellent. The location is very central and ideally placed for shopping and various pubs and restaurants. We will be returning...

We experienced excellent service from all staff from the moment we arrived on NYE 2014. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman on reception during the evenings (apologies for not catching the name - we chatted about hand injuries!) who deserves special mention for the genuine effort made to welcome us and help throughout our stay. Food was great,... More

What a brilliant hotel , firstly they allowed us to check in at 9.30 am, secondly the staff were amazing. The room we were in was beautiful. It had a huge stain glass window and the most comfortable bed. The food was great. And I have to mention Graeme the night manger, he was just the best. Thank you for... More

I've stayed here a couple of times as it's one of our corporate "preferred" hotels and close to our office in Glasgow. I tend not to expect much of hotels and generally then am not disappointed - but this place tries to give an air of quirky quality ... but in my experience doesn't deliver on the basics. It's on... This is a nice quite classy hotel, perfect for having a base near the centre of town, within walking distance to shops bars and restaraunts . We stayed here for a birthday treat after a meal and night out on the town. This was the perfect option as Glasgow never sleeps until the early hours, train home was not an... More

We booked through Hotel Connextions and received no extra benefits at all. The room we were put in is the smallest in the hotel. No drawer space, and only a rail on the wall to hang some clothes. No mini bar, very little poor quality toiletries. We had the air conditioning unit outside our window! On arrival the receptionist told... More
