Great service. Very attentive and resourceful bartenders in hotel bar. They made various recommendations to restaurants and bars both in Glasgow and to out next scheduled trip-Oban. The rooms were well kept, the A/C did not work well in room and the room became very hot and dry for the night's rest. Otherwise, great place for a brief stay and... More

I had a lovely "comfortable" room on the 1st floor. There was no view, but nevermind, the room was indeed quite comfortable. I found the staff always helpful and the food and drink quite good as well. The hotel is located centrally in city centre near shopping and essentials, 3 blocks from subway.

Oh me what has happened to this hotel??? The rooms really are lovely and clean and the bed was really comfortable. However there is not a full range of toiletries of any kind had expected a body wash for the shower but there was only a shower hat and a shampoo and conditioner. The tuck box had reasonably priced snacks... More

The noise from the kitchen fans and air conditioning units was horrendous, told the reception staff at 6pm and nothing was done!! they advised that the fans would go off at 10.30pm - they didn't. I complained again in the morning and nothing no reaction

In the run up to our stay at Abode Glasgow we received emails inviting us to buy a room upgrade, reserve breakfast etc. All of which we were interested in including asking for a bottle of prosecco to be in the room for our arrival. Our request went unacknowledged and so I tried to call the hotel Saturday morning and... More

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting the King's Theatre on the same street. The main lobby is beautiful with high ceilings and ornate mouldings on the ceilings. It feels almost as if you are in a stately mansion and not a hotel in the Glasgow city centre. We initially parked across the road but after hearing from our... More

We stayed one night after flying in from Australia. Room was very small but clean and cosy. Parking across the road is very expensive, so go elsewhere if you have a car. Great breakfast and very friendly staff in the restaurant, not so friendly on front desk....but they were very busy. Spotted Dominique Piñon in the breakfast lobby, so I... More

Booked a room to visit our daughter who is in Glasgow for the summer. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of the main shopping streets in Glasgow and has been refurbished fairly recently. The reception areas and lounges are all very neat and tidy. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room, number 304, was a... More

Wonderful suite, we got a free upgrade, fantastic old building ( ok there are a few small cracks in the paint here and there but to complain about such small details is to completely miss the experience , a real blast from the past , a bit like the Orient Express)

Not bad by any stretch, but a few points. Nice big room, decent bathroom and good bed, basics taken care of! Service was good and the building itself, both interior and exterior is very nice. Now the niggles, an odd smell (208 corridor/room) almost paint like. It must have been noted as there are air fresheners in the plugs. It... More
