I’ve stayed many times at the Crowne Plaza and I am confident in their ability to make my stay OK. There is nothing exceptional about the hotel, but the service, bar, food are all to a high standard, the price reflects this, and importantly to me, I have not had a bad experience there. To push on, I think they... More

Thans for your constructive review. All feedback is important to us and your comments will certainly be considered when we review our menus next. More capital works are being planned as well.......but with no disruption I hasten to add. Regards Dominic McVey More

I stayed here about a month ago for my boyfriends' graduation ball. The hotel didn't look particularly impressive from the outside, but I was pleasantly suprised by the interior. The linking corridor from the carpark to the Reception had doors which opened automatically about 20 before you were at the door - a little creepy but a nice touch. Reception... More

Stayed 5 nights at the hotel and enjoyed ourselves. The room was fairly new, equipped with the basics. View overlooking our room (river clyde) was fantastic. The service at the reception, concierge and restaurant was pretty good as well...though i had a difficult time trying to catch the scottish slang :) Breakfast was pretty decent...with a wide selection of cereals... Good review. Many thanks. As you quite correctly point out, there is a train service into central station ( takes 5 mins) or alternatively we do have a taxi rank at the front door of the hotel. Some of our guests also enjoy the walk along the clydeside. I hope you come and visit again soon. Dominic McVey More

We have just returned from an overnight stay at The Crowne Plaza in Glasgow and were very dissapointed with the service received at reception. As a Priority Club member I booked our weekend stay several months in advance expecting a room to be available on arrival. Checking in at 2.10pm we were informed that our room was not ready and... I'm sorry you had such a bad start to your stay with us. I understand that rooms were available but not the specific room type that you required and that the situation was compounded by incorrect info being given to the reception desk by our housekeeping department. I do hope that this did not cause you too much inconvenience and... More

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow for Take That at Hampden. I received a call from the hotel around a week before my stay to offer a coach service to the concert and back. FANTASTIC! Thank you so much, very well organised and really took the hassle out of traveling to Hampden ourselves. As always the hotel is... More

i found this hotel extremely overrated for a crowne chain, it was out in the middle of no where and had to take cabs to and from the city centre some $15 dollars each way i selected this hotel for it,s location to shops and nightlife and could not have been further from both., The lobby ws nice and staff... Stayed at the Crowne Plaza for my birthday, the hotel is large and modern on the waterfront. slightly away from most of Glasgow but very handy for the SECC. Service from reception was brilliant, even going so far as to change a dodgy Scottish fiver (I'm fairly sure it had come off an inkjet!) which the taxi driver they had... More
