Stayed there for one night on a business visit. Great location and conveniently located to get into the city centre by foot. Rooms were neat, fairly well maintained. Ideal for a family trip, trips with friends or business visits. Would not recommend for a couples / romantic weekend away.

As soon as I walked in the feeling of grandeur and very good decor was obvious. Reception staff were extremely polite helpful and courteous. Rooms are very comfortable and furnished in a contemporary style.Bathrooms look slightly tired compared to the actual rooms but it wasn't anything to fuss about.Excellent toiletries were supplied from the hotel which is always an added... Amazing Location, Amazing provenance, why was everything broken ? Shower - Broken. Iron - Broken Door - Broken and unfortunately the attitude of the staff - broken. Everyone imagines that they are working in the best hotel in town...... And it is far from that

Stayed one night whilst attending WDYTYA event at SECC. On a previous visit, I was really impressed by this hotel but sadly, not this time. When checking in, I was asked how I was paying. I advised it was all paid in advance by my company. There then ensued conversations between two staff members and checking of the booking -... More

It is a nice hotel near the SECC convention centre with a reasonably good restaurant. HOWEVER, the wi-fi is a joke. I run my business online and need wi-fi several hours per day, even when traveling. Wi-fi at the Crowne Plaza costs 16 GBP per day (gulp) and was horribly slow. The front desk folks let me try the wi-fi... More

Stayed for 2 nights for a course we were attending in the hotel. We had 2 rooms a double and a king size. Rooms were spacious and clean. My colleague got chocolates in her room although we never, we did mention it and got left a rather disappointing biscuit! Otherwise nice hotel, lovely breakfast and nice location if you like... More

The Crown Plaza is well situated in the City Centre, next to the River. Argyll Street is 7 minutes walk. Very attentive and helpful staff, especially the Check In and Restaurant personnel. Handy for the Exhibition Train Station, turn left and then 5 minutes walk over the bridge. Evening Meals in Quarter Desk Bar above normal Crown Plaza level -... More

Lovely hotel. Very big! Features a little shop, cash machine (charges for transaction), gym facilities, bar.... Loads!!! Rooms are big enough and bathrooms are lovely, would recommend iPod docking station for music but that is only personal preference. Tea and coffee in room, tv, hairdryer, iron and board, mini bar packages available. Bed is decent enough but not too dissimilar... More

Don't usually go for big hotels but I was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly and efficient staff. Good sized room. Good leisure facilities. And a great breakfast! Well done all round. Great location for a number of venues, and good transport links into the city center - you could actually walk it without much difficulty!
