I think I may echo some of the previous comments about this hotel Stayed one night (Saturday) with some friends as we were going to a show at the nearby Fruitmarket. Good points: Rooms we were clean and tidy - bathroom was fine, even with a wonky toilet roll holder (very minor point). Hairdryer supplied was great, as it wasnt... more

Reception Area looked great. Room's were very very small for a £90 to £100 a night room. Would definately not be recommending this to anyone. Food was awful, straight out of the microwave and on to the table, hardly edible. more

This is an unpretentious hotel with the great advantage of a central location - the mail railay station, Buchanan Street, George Square and Strathclyde University are all within easy walking distance. You wouldn't want to entertain in your room, which is likely to be pretty small. The bathroom is adequate rather than luxurious. As with many hotels, phone and Internet... more

Glad I didn't read the reviews before going! Glasgow is a very lively city so if you stay in the city centre it will be noisy. Check in was quick and staff helpful offering everything a well run hotel would offer. When told car park was full we were directed to the NCP one street away and it cost £4.80... more

Visited the hotel in August with friends. Hotel location is excellent for shopping on Buchanan Street- a couple of minutes walk away. Also about 5 minutes walk to the merchant city area for pubs, restuarants and clubs. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendy. The receptionist gave us great advice on where to eat and drink. The bedrooms were compact... more

Whilst we always got an effusive welcome at the reception desk, the rooms and beds were very small. My husband is a bit over six feet tall and I'm five foot seven. The bed was a small double and to try and create sleeping space you could stick your feet out of the bottom of the bed. Trouble with that... more

Chose this hotel for its proximity to the city center stations for an ACDC concert at Hampden. \Booked in no problem, 2nd floor room was as small as was probably legally allowed under H & S guidelines. basic double bed...much smaller than we have at home. Kept banging my knees as I went from one side to the other. Only... more

As everyone else is saying this hotel is a nightmare. We stayed on a saturday night and they had a function on and many of the attendees were staying in the hotel. This resulted in loads of jakeballs running around the place steaming and girls crying in corridors screaming at their absent boyfriends down mobile phones until 6am. Several calls... more

This hotel is a five minute walk from the central station , five minutes from Buchanan Street, five minutes from numerous bars, five minutes from numerous restaurants, five minutes from arriving to checkin your room, five minutes to find friendly helpfull staff, five minutes to bang your legs on the furniture in the room because the rooms are small, five... more

Folks, myself and a few friends went to Glasgow for a w'end. Most of us had never been there and wanted something was good location and reasonably cheap. Ramada was spot on for everything - good efficient staff (gent by the name of Kearney at check in was very helpful). But the hotel itself is really close to everything -... more
