We stopped by this hotel for lunch on a hot and busy day. What a delight! A calm and airconditioned dining area, comfy seats and a menu providing just what we wanted and needed. The service was absolutely first class - so much so we went back again later for drinks and again for afternoon tea. We were not let... More

I didn't stay but the staff in reception were amazingly helpful, I turned up in town late (23:00 from queens street) at short noticed and needed a room. They were full but the guy on reception booked me a hotel room elsewhere, rooms were in short supply in the whole city and my mobile phone battery was flat, they also... More

Stayed here for the weekend because I was down for a gay pride march the weather has been very humid and thought the rooms were air conditioned as most hotels are nowadays. But the heat at night was almost unbearable called reception and they came with two fans very quickly too but still too hot but overall very pleasant -... More

Once I found the hotel the lack of directions to the car park prior to arrival was a pain. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were compact but had all you would expect, informally in my room there was a dirty towel left in the bath. The location is good for exploring the city centre. I would... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your review and comments on your stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, due to planning permission restrictions, signage to the car park from Ingram Street is not possible. We have loaded the directions onto the hotel website and the team are able to offer directions where necessary. I have passed on your comments to housekeeping for... More

Stayed here for couple of nights recently as part of a stag party and was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews. However, it is a great location, the room was absolutely fine, not huge but adequate, the bed was very comfortable, nice bathroom with powerful shower. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in a... More

I stayed here for one night and found the location of the hotel superb. Close to both Central and Queen St train stations, near the Buchanan Street for shopping but also walking to distance to almost anywhere in downtown Glasgow. Yet it was far enough away from the busy parts to be quiet at night. The reception team were very... More

This is a great hotel for location and a short walk from all the main shops, restaurants and bars. Rooms are standard and probably needs updated and the shower is not great as it just trickles, stayed at the Mecure Greenwich which was a lot better power shower. Staff are friendly. Breakfast was good other than the shower would defiantly... More

I booked the Mercure as my course was at the hotel. It was scorching weather and being put on top floor the heat was unbearable, didn't sleep both nights, windows wouldn't open. The rooms are shabby and in need of renovation, my other colleague asked to be moved as hers was in a poor state and not big enough to... More

Arrived in the hotel which is very central. Only 5 mins walk from George square, central station, argyle street. Foyer spotless. Lifts spotless. Room very clean but a bit small. Wouldn't recommend staying if you're going to be in the room for a while. Other than that, bed comfortable and shower is one of the most powerful I have ever... More
